Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform reversal color development simply and rapidly by subjecting an exposed silver halide color photographic material to treatment with a developing monobath containing bromine ion, fogging treatment, treatment with a nonstrongly acidic aqueous solution, etc. CONSTITUTION:An alkaline developing monobath is used having pH about 9-14 and containing about 0.1-100g/l of a black and white developing agent, about 0.5-100g/l of a color developing agent, and about 10-300g/l of bromine ion. An exposed photosensitive material is treated with the monobath and washed with water preferably of pH about 6 or more for about 30sec or less to remove the hydroquinone type developing agent and the bromine ion followed by exposure or fogging treatment with a fogging agent and treatment with a nonstrongly acidic aqueous solution of pH about 6 or more. Thus, reversal development is accomplished.
