Abstract
PURPOSE:To form a well-color-balanced color photographic image with little fog in a short treatment time by using a photographic material in which an emulsion layer undergoing delayed color development has been thickened in a two-stage developing process with a color developer containing bromine ion of high concentration. CONSTITUTION:As a silver halide color pbotographic material for a color developing process composed of dipping in a color developer containing 18g/l or more, preferably 18-200g/l of bromine ion and preferably containing a primary amine type color developing agent and of treatment with an aqueous solution of pH 6 or more, a material is used which is formed by making a silver halide emulsion layer (and an adjacent lower layer) undergoing delayed color development about 1.05 times or more, preferably 1.2-3 times as thick as a silver halide emulsion layer undergoing undelayed color development.
