Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a highly efficient air conditioner which has a thin depth and can be installed at the back surface of the outdoor unit thereof in close contact with the wall surface of a house.
CONSTITUTION: A refrigeration cycle is divided into a section having an evaporator and a section having a condenser 14. The section of the condenser 14 consists of an air intake port 20, the condenser 14, a fan 16 facing with the condenser 14 and having centrifugal backward blades, a fan casing 24 for guiding the air from the fan 16, and air diffusers 25, 27 for guiding the air guided by the casing 24 out of the section of the condenser 14. The air conditioner can be installed as desired according to the construction thus constituted.
