Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable absolute addresses within the crossing sections of cross type parallel lines by changing the phases of the first and second composite signals in mutually opposite directions along with the movement of a moving object and detecting the phase differences of these composite signals.
CONSTITUTION: Two antennas 16A, 16B are disposed at a spacing of n+1/2P, e.g., 3/2P, on a moving object 14 with respect to the minimum crossing pitch P of the cross type parallel lines 12 connected to a ground oscillator 10. As the moving object 14 travels, the antennas 16A, 16B receive the signals of the phases being changed by the electromagnetic fields of the cross type parallel lines 12. The receiving signals of and 90° phase shifter 22, whereby the first and second composite signals of the antennas 16A, 16B are added via phase inverter 20 and 90° phase shifter 22, whereby the first and second composite signals of the phases rotating in respectively opposite directions are obtained. These two composite signals are phase- compared in a phase difference detector 24 and from the phase differences thereof the position of the moving object 14 in the cross ing sections is detected
