Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect the object which moves at an equal distance from the detecting device, by receiving microwaves reflected from the moving object by two antennas and by detecting the change of the phase difference between them. CONSTITUTION:The microwave generated by microwave oscillator 1 is received by transmission antenna 2, and microwaves reflected by moving object 3 are received by two receiving antennas 4a and 4b at fixed distances. Microwave signals having a phase difference are combined by magic T6 and are separated into in-phase components and antiphase components and are taken out by the H arm and the E arm. They are set in directions opposite to each other, and these components are detected by detecting diodes 7a and 7b and are added by adding circuit 8. If moving object 3 is static, the phase difference between two receiving antennas is not changed, and the ouput of adding circuit 8 is not changed; but if the object is moving, the phase difference is changed, and the output of circuit 8 is changed, and therefore, a pulse is generated by waveform shaping circuit 9, and measurement and observa- tion are performed on display equipment 10.
