Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve miniaturization and improvement of reliability by using a flexible substrate for connection of external wirings. CONSTITUTION:A base 22 for an ink jet printer composed of glass plate or the like and a flexible substrate 29 which has a hole of the shape larger than a piezoelectric element 29 in the position opposing to said element are formed in tape form to provide a flexible tape 37. This is then disposed in the specified position and a tool 36 is lowered, thence current 37 is flowed. Then, the Sn of an overhang electrode 34 and the Au at the top of the piezoelectric element 28 overhang further. This as well as the conductor film composed of the Sn and Au of the electrode 35 create Au-Sn eutectic alloy respectively, whereby these are bonded. Thus, the connection from the element 28 uses the substrate 29 and therefore the thickness thereof is only the thickness of the substrate 29, resulting in the decreased thickness. In addition, the use of the conductor pattern fixed and disposed on the substrate 29 obviates disconnection, shorting, etc. owing to carelessness in handling, thereby improving reliability.
