Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the distribution of idling fuel at the time of slow revolution of an engine, by providing an air bypass for intake passages provided respectively for cylinders and opening an idling fuel passage into the air bypass.
CONSTITUTION: The common air bypass 3 is provided independently of the intake passages 1, 2, which are connected to the cylinders. The indling fuel passage 9 is connected to a halfway part of the air bypass 3. The air bypass 3 is provided with an enlarged chamber 4 at the downstream side of a throttle valve 16 placed in the intake passages 1, 2. Air and fuel are mixed well with each other in the enlarged chamber 4. This chamber is connected to the intake passages 1, 2 through a communication passage 5. An air adjustment screw 11 is installed at the air bypass 3. An idling adjustment screw 10 is installed at the idling fuel passage 9.
