Abstract
Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.(1)第1の面と第2の面を有する積層PTC抵抗素子と、 (2)(i)上記PTC素子の上記第1の面に接続した内側の面と、(ii)外側 の面とを有する第1の積層電極と、 (3)(i)上記PTC素子の上記第2の面に接続した内側の面と、(ii)外側 の面とを有する第2の積層電極と、 (4)(a)(i)上記PTC素子の上記第2の面に接続した内側の面と、(ii )外側の面とを有し、 (b)第2の電極から間隔をおいて配置された、付加的な積層導電性部材 とからなる電気デバイスであって、 上記PTC素子、上記第1の電極および付加的な導電性部材が、上記第1の電 極および上記付加的な導電性部材の間に上記PTC素子を通って延びる開口部を 形成し、更に、 (5)(a)金属から構成され、 (b)上記開口部中に横たわり、 (c)物理的および電気的に上記第1の電極および付加的な導電性部材に 接続された横断導電性部材と、 (6)上記付加的な導電性部材の上面に固定された第1の半田層と、 (7)上記第2の電極の上面に固定された第2の半田層と、 (8)(a)固体の非導電性材料から構成され、 (b)上記第1および第2の半田層の間に横たわり、 (c)上記半田層が溶融する温度で固体のままである分離部材とを含む電 気デバイス。 2.矩形形状であり、上記開口部が閉じた横断面を有し、上記分離部材が上記デ バイスの全幅を横切るバー形状である請求項1に記載のデバイス。 3.上記抵抗素子が、PTC動作を示す導電性ポリマーから構成され、上記積層 電極と上記付加的な積層導電性部材が金属箔である請求項1に記載のデバイス。 4.上記横断導電性部材の周囲の上記第1の電極の外側の面に固着された第3の 半田層を含む請求項1に記載のデバイス。 5. (a)固体材料から構成され、 (b)上記第3の半田層に隣接した上記第1の電極の外側の面に固定され たマスキング部材を含む請求項4に記載のデバイス。 6.上記マスキング部材が、 (a)上記第1、第2および第3の半田層が溶融する温度で固体のままで あり、 (b)識別マークを搭載する請求項5に記載のデバイス。 7.上記第3の半田層が上記第2の半田層に重ならない請求項4に記載のデバイ ス。 8.上記横断導電性部材が、上記開口部上にめっきされた金属層を含み、上記上 部および下部部材の外側の面上にめっきされた同一金属の層を有する請求項1に 記載のデバイス。 9.(1)第1および第2の表面を有する積層PTC抵抗部材と、 (2)複数の上部積層導電性部材と、 (3)複数の下部積層導電性部材とからなるアセンブリであって、 上記上部部材が互いに平行で間隔をあけたストリップ形状であり、上記上部部 材の隣接したペアが上記抵抗素子の中間部分を備えた複数の上部平行チャネルを 形成し、上記上部部材の夫々が(i)上記PTC部材の第1の表面に接続した内 側の面と、(ii)外側の面とを有し、 上記下部部材が互いに、そして上部部材に平行で間隔をあけたストリップ形状 であり、上記下部部材の隣接したペアが上記抵抗素子の中間部分を備えた複数の 下部平行チャネルを形成し、上記下部部材の夫々が、(i)上記PTC部材の第 1の表面に接続した内側の面と、(ii)外側の面とを有し、 上記PTC部材および上記積層導電性部材が複数の間隔をあけた開口部を形成 し、該開口部は少なくとも上記上部導電性部材の1つ、および少なくとも上記下 部導電性部材の1つの間を上記PTC部材を通って延び、更に、 (4)複数の間隔をあけた横断導電性部材と、 (5)複数の間隔をあけた非導電性分離部材と (6)複数の間隔をあけた非導電性マスキング部材とからなるアセンブリであっ て、 上記横断導電性部材が、 (a)金属から構成され、 (b)上記開口部の1つの中に横たわり、 (c)少なくとも上記上導電性部材の1つと、上記下部導電性部材の1つ とに物理的、電気的に接続され、 上記分離部材が互いに、上部および下部部材に平行な、間隔をあけたストリッ プ形状であり、上記分離部材の夫々が上記上部または下部平行チャネルの1つを 満たし、上記チャネルを形成する部材の外部表面の部分上に延び、 上記マスキング部材が間隔をあけたストリップ形状であり、該ストリップが、 (i)互いに上部および下部部材に平行で、(ii)上記分離部材とかわるがわる 交替し、間隔をあけ、それにより隣接した分離およびマスキング部材が、上記抵 抗素子の間にはさまる部分とともに、夫々が上記開口部の少なくとも1つを含む 複数のコンタクト領域を形成するアセンブリ。 10.上記積層PTC抵抗部材がPTC動作を示す導電性ポリマーを含み、上記 積層導電性部材が金属箔であり、上記横断導電性部材の夫々が上記開口部上にめ っきされた金属層を含み、上記上部および下部の導電性部材の外側の面上にめっ きされた同一金属の層を有する積層13に記載のアセンブリ。
