(57)【要約】 【課題】 生理用ナプキンの圧搾条溝における体液の拡
散を抑制する。 【解決手段】 生理用ナプキン１の上面両側に形成され
た圧搾条溝５が、その底面にその長さ方向へ交互に並列
する低圧搾部８と高圧搾部９とを有する。

Description

【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【産業上の利用分野】この発明は、生理用ナプキンに関
し、さらに詳しくは、経血を吸収保持する生理用ナプキ
ン又はパッドに関する。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】実公平５−３９６９１号公報には、ナプ
キン上面の両側にその長さ方向へ延びるとともにそのほ
ぼ中央部において間隔が狭くなった一対の圧搾条溝を有
する生理用ナプキンが開示されている。かかる条溝によ
って、ナプキンの女性局部への適合密着性が向上する。
また、着用ナプキンの中央部に生じた捩れは、それがナ
プキン側縁にまで延びるのをこの条溝によって阻止でき
る。それによって、経血が捩れに沿って側縁にまで流
れ、横漏れを生じるという問題を回避することができ
る。
【０００３】
【発明が解決しようとする課題】前記公知のナプキンの
吸液性コアでは、圧搾条溝の密度がコア中央部の密度よ
りも極めて高く、条溝に流入した経血はその長さ方向に
素早く拡散し過ぎる傾向がある。条溝は、ナプキンの吸
液性コアの側縁近傍に形成されているから、その拡散に
よってナプキンは条溝がない場合に比べて側縁部の汚れ
が促進され、その側縁部に接している着用ショーツを汚
す頻度も高くなる。
【０００４】そこで、この発明は、ナプキンに条溝を形
成した場合の効果を維持しつつ、該条溝における経血の
拡散を抑制することを主たる課題にしている。
【０００５】
【課題を解決するための手段】前記課題を解決するため
に、この発明においては、透液性表面シートと、不透液
性裏面シートと、それら両シートの間に介在する吸液性
コアとからなり、該コアが位置する領域の上面両側にそ
の長さ方向へ延びるとともにその中央部において間隔が
狭くなった一対の圧搾条溝を有する生理用ナプキンを前
提にしている。
【０００６】かかる前提において、前記条溝は、その底
面の長さ方向へ交互に並列する高圧搾部と低圧搾部とを
有することが、この発明の特徴である。
【０００７】
【実施例】添付の図面を参照して、この発明の詳細を説
明すると、以下のとおりである。
【０００８】図１に部分破断斜視図で示す生理用ナプキ
ン１は、透液性表面シート２と、不透液性裏面シート３
と、吸液性コア４とによって構成され、表裏面シート
２，３はコア４の四周から延出する部分で重なり合い、
内面どうしが水密に接合している。ナプキン１の上面両
側部にはナプキン１の長さ方向へ延びる一対の圧搾条溝
５が形成され、その条溝５の中央部において間隔が最も
狭くなり、その長さ方向へ両端へ向って次第にその間隔
が広くなっている。条溝５によってナプキン１は、女性
局部への適合密着性を改善するうえで大いに役立つ。
【０００９】図２，３は、図１の部分拡大平面図と、図
１のＩＩＩ−ＩＩＩ線断面図である。これらの図におい
て、条溝５は、その底面５Ａに厚み（高さ）Ｂの低圧搾
部８と、厚み（高さ）Ｃの高圧搾部９とを有し、両部
８，９が条溝５の長さ方向へ交互に並列している。条溝
５は、その上面開口５Ｂの幅がその底面５Ａの幅よりも
大きく、かつ、開口上縁部５Ｃが円弧に形成されてい
る。低圧搾部８および高圧搾部９は、底面５Ａを幅方向
へ横切り、さらに具体的には、ナプキン１の縦軸χに対
して斜めに位置するとともに（図１，２参照）、底面５
Ａの幅よりも細くその幅方向へ延在する。条溝５は、そ
の近傍の厚みＡに対しＢ＝０．７〜０．２×Ａ、Ｃ＝
０．５〜０．０５×Ａであって、Ｂ＞Ｃとなるように、
そして好ましくは、高圧搾部９における密度が０．１ｇ
／ｃｍ3以上となり、低圧搾部８の密度が高圧搾部９の
密度よりも低くなるように圧搾されている。条溝５は、
コア４の全長の１／２〜４／５の長さと、１〜５ｍｍの
幅とを有することが好ましい。低圧搾部８と高圧搾部９
とは、条溝５の長さ方向に０．８〜４ｍｍの幅を有する
ことが好ましい。
【００１０】条溝５を画成する内外側壁５Ｄ1，５Ｄ2に
沿う近傍のコア４部分も、条溝５が圧搾で形成されたも
のであることから、前記圧搾部８，９ほどではないにし
ても、その圧搾時における圧搾作用を受けない他の領域
よりも密度が高くなっていることが理解されよう。図３
では、内側壁５Ｄ1の開口上縁５Ｃが、外側壁５Ｄ2側の
開口上縁５Ｃよりも円弧の長さ寸法が大きく、そのた
め、前者に位置するコア４部分が、後者の位置するコア
４部分よりも広範囲かつ高密度に圧搾されている。した
がって、条溝５に流入する経血は、内側壁５Ｄ1側でよ
り条溝に吸収拡散され外側壁５Ｄ2からナプキンの外側
縁へ拡散し横漏れを生じることが少ない。こうしたこと
から理解されるように、内側壁５Ｄ1側のコア４部分が
外側壁５Ｄ2側のコア４部分よりも高密度になるように
条溝５が圧搾形成されていることが好ましい。
【００１１】かかる条溝５の形状は、ナプキン１を成形
型により高圧で圧搾すれば得られるが、圧搾部位に、例
えば僅かに水を含ませたり、表面シート２とコア４との
間にホットメルト型接着剤を介在させて加熱下に圧搾し
たりすることによってその圧搾形状を安定させることが
できる。
【００１２】このように構成したナプキン１では、図１
に矢印Ｐ，Ｑで示すように経血が排泄されて条溝５に流
入すると、低圧搾部８の経血は密度の高い高圧搾部９へ
素早く拡散する。一方、該部９の周囲は相対的に密度が
低いから、該部９の経血は、そうした周囲に容易に拡散
することがない。したがって、このナプキン１では、経
血が条溝５においてその長さ方向に素早く拡散すること
を阻止し、条溝５からナプキン１の側縁に向かって経血
が外方へ広がるのを抑えることができる。
【００１３】この発明において、コア４には、粉砕パル
プに高吸水性ポリマー粉末や熱可塑性合成繊維を混合す
ることができる。条溝５を加熱下に圧搾して形成する場
合に、かかる繊維はその加熱によって賦型され、圧搾形
状の型崩れを防止するのに役立つ。また、繊維が疎水性
のものであれば、粉砕パルプからなるコア４に経血に対
する拡散性を付与することができる。表面シート２に
は、不織布や開孔プラスチックフィルムを使用し、裏面
シート３にはプラスチックフィルムを使用することが好
ましい。ナプキン１の各部材を接合するにはホットメル
ト型接着剤等の接着剤を使用する他に、熱溶融性素材に
対する溶着技術を利用することができる。なお、添付図
面では、これら接合手段の図示が省略してある。

【発明の効果】この発明に係る生理用ナプキンにおいて
は、その上面両側に条溝が形成されることによって女性
局部への密着性が向上し、また、ナプキン中央部に生じ
た捩れが周縁部にまで延び難くなる。かかる条溝では、
その底面の長さ方向へ相対的に密度の高い圧搾部と密度
の低い圧搾部とが交互に並列するから、条溝に流入した
経血はその長さ方向への過度の拡散が抑制され、それに
よってナプキン側縁部やそこに接するショーツを汚すこ
ともない（請求項１，４）。
【００１５】条溝は圧搾で形成されているにもかかわら
ず、その開口上縁が円弧であるから、女性局部に刺激を
与えないし、経血が円滑に条溝に流入する（請求項１，
２）。
【００１６】この種のナプキンは、一般にその長さ方向
に対して直角に折り重ねて個包装されるので、同直角方
向に細い多数の横小皺が折り目近傍に生じる。この横小
皺は経血の横漏れの原因となるものであるが、そして、
表面シートの材質等にもよるが、本発明は、条溝及びそ
の底面の高低圧搾部によって、これらが存在しない場合
に比較して、前記横小皺の発生を低下させることができ
ることを知見した（請求項１，２）。
【００１７】条溝を画成する内外側壁のうち、該内側壁
に沿うコア部分が該外側壁に沿うコア部分よりも高密度
であるから、前者のコア部分が後者のコア部分よりも経
血を吸収拡散し、経血の横漏れが有効に防止される（請
求項５）。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】透液性表面シートと、不透液性裏面シート
    と、それら両シートの間に介在する吸液性コアとからな
    り、該コアが位置する領域の上面両側にその長さ方向へ
    延びるとともにその中央部において間隔が狭くなった一
    対の圧搾条溝を有する生理用ナプキンにおいて、 前記条溝は、その底面の長さ方向へ交互に並列する高圧
    搾部と低圧搾部とを有することを特徴とする前記ナプキ
    ン。
  2. 【請求項２】前記条溝は、その上面開口の幅寸法がその
    底面の幅寸法よりも大きく、かつ、その開口上縁が円弧
    に形成されている請求項１に記載の生理用ナプキン。
  3. 【請求項３】前記低圧搾部および高圧搾部は、ナプキン
    の縦軸に対して斜めに延在している請求項１に記載の生
    理用ナプキン。
  4. 【請求項４】前記低圧搾部が、前記高圧搾部よりも前記
    底面からの高さ寸法が大である請求項１に記載の生理用
    ナプキン。
  5. 【請求項５】前記条溝を画成する内外側壁のうち、該内
    側壁に沿って位置する前記コア部分が、該外側壁に沿っ
    て位置する前記コア部分よりも高密度である請求項１に
    記載の生理用ナプキン。
