Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a soil conditioner, excellent in effects on raising of good seedlings, shortening of the growing period, improvement in yield, etc., and having persistence thereof and excellent soil improving effects by blending a herb medicine component with a porous adsorbent. CONSTITUTION: This soil conditioner comprises (A) an extract solution of Glycyrrhizae Radix (e.g. an alcohol extract solution of the Glycyrrhizae Radix) and (B) woody pulverized charcoal preferably at (2:1)-(1:20) weight ratio of the components (A):(B). One or more of components, such as an oil meal, a fish meal and activated sludge microbial cells are preferably blended as an extender for the soil conditioner. The weight ratio of the soil conditioner to the extender is preferably (2:1)-(1:10). The soil conditioner has preferably a granular dosage form having preferably 0.01mm-50mm grain diameter. The soil conditioner is preferably applied in an amount of 50-2,000kg/10a as a basal fertilizer for crop cultivation and preferably dusted in the above application amount on the surface of soil in the course of cultivation for horticultural cultivation, a golf course, etc.

2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, there have been problems such as reduction of soil productivity due to chemically synthesized pesticides and chemical fertilizers used in agricultural production sites, and influence of pesticides used at golf courses on the human body. On the other hand, natural pesticides, microbial materials, organic fertilizers, etc. that make use of natural materials are drawing attention. As one example, attempts have been made to use crude drugs for fertilizers, agricultural chemicals, and the like. For example, there is a medicine for Kampo medicine of Japanese Examined Patent Publication No. 5-29201. However, not only the effect of crude drug is not sufficient with the current technology, but the fertilizing effect is not continued, and for example, in crop cultivation, application is required several times or more during the cultivation period. Moreover, it cannot be said that the soil improvement effect is sufficient.

The licorice extract used in the soil conditioner of the present invention is water extracted,
The extraction method such as acid or alkali extraction or organic solvent extraction is not limited. For example, when hot water is used for extraction, glycyrrhizin, glabric acid, liquiritin, isoliquiritin, etc. are extracted. Furthermore, it contains polysaccharides and minerals, and each of these components contributes to the promotion of plant growth.

[0007] On the other hand, wood dust coal greatly improves the water retention, water permeability, and air permeability of soil as conventionally known, and further contributes to the formation of an aggregated structure of soil. Further, since wood pulverized coal has a large adsorption area, it has a high deodorizing effect and reduces fermentation odor. Furthermore, wood pulverized coal is a good breeding ground for various microorganisms including nitrogen-fixing bacteria such as Azotobacter, and plants receive minerals, vitamins, etc. from these microorganisms, and against the development of fine roots and root hairs. Is also effective and increases resistance to diseases and the like, which is preferable for plant growth.

By combining the licorice extract and the wood dust coal, a synergistic effect that cannot be obtained by each alone is obtained. It is considered that this is because the pulverulent charcoal adsorbs and retains the licorice component to prevent the licorice component from escaping from the plant rhizosphere and to promote the growth of the microbial group in the activated carbon.

In order to prepare the soil conditioner of the present invention using these components, the licorice extract and wood dust coal are mixed and stirred at a weight ratio of 2: 1 to 1:20, and the licorice component is added. Adsorb on wood dust coal. Further, if necessary, it is possible to increase the amount by using one or more kinds of organic components such as oil cake, fish meal, and activated sludge cells as an extender. The mixing ratio of these and the soil improver is 2: 1 to 1:10 by weight.
So that At this time, the effect of soil diseases and the like can be expected by using a microbial material together.

Example 3 Using the licorice extract (solid content: 37.5%), wood pulverized coal, and the soil improver prepared in Example 1, the effects on the growth of komatsuna were comparatively examined. That is, as shown in Table 2, 10 ml of each was placed on the filter paper in the petri dish.
Was added. 20 seeds of Komatsuna were sown on this filter paper, and after culturing at 25 ° C. in the dark for 5 days, stem length and root length were measured. Table 2 shows the results based on the stem length and root length without addition (100%). As is clear from Table 2, the soil improving agent of the present invention promoted the growth as compared with the licorice extract alone and the woody coal alone. Especially in roots, the effect is remarkable.

Example 4 Leaf radish was cultivated in an a / 2000 Wagner pot. The test soil was a mixture of Masago soil and sand at a ratio of 1: 1. For each test group, the soil improver prepared in Example 1 and the oil cake were mixed in a weight ratio of 1: 1 and 2: 1, and 100 g of the oil cake was added. As a control, a test section was used in which only the oil cake was used, and a mixture of the oil cake and wood powder coal was added at a ratio of 1: 1. Leaf radishes were sown in each test section, and after germination, 3 strains were thinned out. The longest leaf length (average of 3 strains) after 25 days is shown in Table 2. As a result, the soil improving agent of the present invention showed a remarkable growth promoting effect as compared with the control. In addition, the leaf color was darker green than the control.

Example 5 Tomato seedlings were transplanted to a / 5000 Wagner pot. The test soil was a mixture of vermiculite: sand in a ratio of 1: 1.
The test plots are as follows, as a licorice extract (solid content 37.5%) addition plot, a wood pulverized coal blending plot, a soil improver plot prepared in Example 1 and a commercial crude drug fertilizer plot (Belking 500: manufactured by Arum Co., Ltd.). The addition amount is shown in the table. Liquid fertilizer (hyponics liquid fertilizer) was diluted to a predetermined concentration and sprayed once per week to all the test plots. At that time, the licorice extract-added group and the commercial crude drug solution-fertilized group were sprayed simultaneously with the liquid fertilizer. Table 3 shows the growth state (average of 2 strains) after 40 days. As a result, the soil improver of the present invention showed excellent growth in plant height and stem thickness as compared with the other plots. The leaf color was also dark green.
