- ディスプレイデバイスであって、

- 前記光制御フィルムが、透過領域のアレイが最大130°幅で繰り返される方向における極角の範囲で5%以上の透過率を有する、請求項2または3に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
- ξが0.707以上である、請求項1に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
- ξが0.906以下である、請求項1または5に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記光制御フィルムが、前記空間光変調器の中心から前方に延在する光軸に向かって内側に向けられた中心線を有する透過領域のアレイが繰り返される方向における極角を伴うプロファイルを有する透過率を有する、請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記プロファイルの前記中心線が、共通点に向けられている、請求項7に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記光制御フィルムが、前記光制御フィルム全体のすべての位置において、前記空間光変調器の平面に対する法線上に中心が置かれた前記透過領域のアレイが繰り返される方向における極角を伴うプロファイルを有する透過率を有する、請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記透過領域が傾斜しており、その結果、前記透過領域の入力側および出力側の開口の中心間の各透過領域に関して定義された軸が、前記空間光変調器の前記中心から前方に延在する光軸に向かって内向きに向けられる、請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記軸が、共通点に向けられている、請求項10に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記透過領域が、前記光制御フィルム全体のすべての位置で、前記空間光変調器の平面に垂直である、前記透過領域の入力側および出力側の開口の中心間の各透過領域に関して定義された軸を有する、請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記透過領域のアレイが、細長い透過領域の一次元アレイである、請求項1~12のいずれか一項に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記透過領域間の前記吸収領域が、前記入力面と前記出力面との間に延在する、請求項1~13のいずれか一項に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記光制御フィルムが、支持基板上に提供されている、請求項1~14のいずれか一項に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記表示偏光子が、前記空間光変調器の前記出力側に配置された出力表示偏光子である、請求項1~15のいずれか一項に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記ディスプレイデバイスが、前記出力表示偏光子と少なくとも1つの第1の極性制御遅延器との間に配置された反射偏光子をさらに備え、前記反射偏光子が線形偏光子である、請求項16に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記光制御フィルムが、前記反射偏光子と前記空間光変調器との間に配置されている、請求項17に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記空間光変調器が、前記空間的に変調された光を放出するように配置された発光型空間光変調器を備える、請求項16~18のいずれか一項に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記ディスプレイデバイスが、光を出力するように配置されたバックライトをさらに備え、前記空間光変調器が、前記バックライトから出力される前記光を受容し、かつ空間的に変調するように配置された透過型空間光変調器を備え、前記光制御フィルムが、前記バックライトと前記空間光変調器との間に配置されている、請求項16または17に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記ディスプレイデバイスが、光を出力するように配置されたバックライトをさらに備え、前記空間光変調器が、前記バックライトから出力される前記光を受容し、かつ空間的に変調するように配置された透過型空間光変調器を備え、前記光制御フィルムが、前記空間光変調器の前に配置されている、請求項16に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記ディスプレイデバイスが、光を出力するように配置されたバックライトをさらに備え、前記空間光変調器が、前記バックライトから出力される前記光を受容し、かつ空間的に変調するように配置された透過型空間光変調器を備え、前記表示偏光子が、前記空間光変調器の入力側に配置された入力表示偏光子である、請求項1~15のいずれか一項に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記光制御フィルムが、前記バックライトと前記追加の偏光子との間に配置されている、請求項22に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記少なくとも1つの極性制御遅延器が、切替え可能な液晶遅延器を含む、請求項1~23のいずれか一項に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記切替え可能な液晶遅延器が、液晶材料の層と、前記液晶材料の前記層に隣接して配設された少なくとも1つの表面配列層と、を備える、請求項24に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記切替え可能な液晶遅延器が、前記液晶材料の層に隣接して、かつその対向する側に配設され、それぞれの液晶カプセル化基板上に配置された2つの表面配列層を備える、請求項25に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記光制御フィルムが、前記液晶カプセル化基板の1つ上に提供されている、請求項26に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
- 前記少なくとも1つの極性制御遅延器が、少なくとも1つの受動補償遅延器をさらに含む、請求項24~27のいずれか一項に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
- 支持基板が、前記少なくとも1つの受動補償遅延器のうちの少なくとも1つの受動補償遅延器を備える、請求項28に記載のディスプレイデバイス。
