Claims (24)
- 光検出及び測距(LIDAR)装置であって、
基板に取り付けられ、光の測定ビームを生成するように構成された照射源と、
前記基板に取り付けられ、光の戻りビームを検出し、検出された前記戻りビームを示す出力信号を生成するように構成された検出器であって、前記戻りビームは、対応する前記測定ビームによって照射された環境内の位置から反射されるある量の前記測定ビームであり、前記測定ビームと前記戻りビームは、前記LIDAR装置の一部内のある距離に亘って共通光路を共有する前記検出器と、
前記基板に取り付けられ、前記照射源に電気的に接続され、前記照射源が前記測定ビームを出射するように、前記照射源にある量の電力を供給するように構成された照射ドライバと、
前記基板に取り付けられ、前記測定ビーム及び前記戻りビームを前記共通光路から分離するように構成されたビームスプリッタと、
を有することを特徴とするLIDAR装置。 - 前記照射源が、レーザダイオード又は発光ダイオードを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のLIDAR装置。
- 前記基板が第1の基板であり、前記照射源及び前記照射ドライバが、前記第1の基板に取り付けられた第2の基板上に統合されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のLIDAR装置。
- 前記ビームスプリッタが、開口を有するミラーを含み、前記測定ビームが、前記ミラー内の前記開口を通過することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のLIDAR装置。
- さらに集束光学系を含み、前記集束光学系が、前記測定ビームが前記ミラー内の前記開口を通過した後に、前記測定ビームをコリメートすることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のLIDAR装置。
- 前記集束光学系が、前記戻りビームを前記ミラー上に集束するように構成され、前記ミラーが、前記戻りビームを前記検出器のアクティブ感知表面領域に向けて反射するように構成されることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のLIDAR装置。
- 前記ビームスプリッタが、前記共通光路内に配置され、選択可能な屈折率を有する能動光学素子を有し、
第1の状態では、前記能動光学素子が、前記戻りビームを前記検出器に導くように構成され、
第2の状態では、前記能動光学素子が、前記測定ビームを前記共通光路に導くように構成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のLIDAR装置。 - 前記ビームスプリッタが、
前記共通光路内に配置され、前記戻りビームを前記検出器に集束するように構成された第1の光学素子と、
前記共通光路内に配置され、前記測定ビームを前記共通光路に導くように構成された第2の光学素子と、
を有し、
前記照射源は、前記検出器の視野外に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のLIDAR装置。 - 前記ビームスプリッタが、
前記共通光路内に配置されたミラーを有し、
前記ミラーは、前記検出器の視野内にある開口を含み、前記照射源は、前記測定ビームを前記開口を介して前記共通光路に出射するように構成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のLIDAR装置。 - 前記照射源は、前記検出器の視野外に配置され、前記ビームスプリッタが、前記検出器の視野内の前記共通光路内に配置されたミラーと、前記照射源及び前記ミラーの間を光学的に接続する光ファイバと、を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のLIDAR装置。
- 前記ビームスプリッタが、
前記測定ビームのビーム経路内に配置された第1の偏光制御素子を有し、
第1の状態では、前記第1の偏光制御素子が、前記測定ビームに前記第1の偏光制御素子を通過させるように構成され、
第2の状態では、前記第1の偏光制御素子が、前記戻りビームを前記検出器に向かって反射させるように構成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のLIDAR装置。 - 前記戻りビームのビーム経路内に配置された第2の偏光制御素子を更に有し、
前記第2の偏光制御素子は、前記検出器に向けられる前記戻りビームの量を制御することを特徴とする請求項11に記載のLIDAR装置。 - 少なくとも部分的に前記出力信号に基づいて、前記LIDAR装置から前記環境内の前記位置に至り、前記LIDAR装置に戻る前記測定ビームの飛行時間を測定するように構成された計算システムを更に有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のLIDAR装置。
- 光検出及び測距(LIDAR)装置の動作方法であって、前記方法が、
基板に取り付けられた照射源によって光の測定ビームを生成し、
前記基板に取り付けられた検出器によって光の戻りビームを検出し、前記戻りビームは、対応する測定ビームによって照射された環境内の位置から反射されたある量の測定ビームであり、前記測定ビームと前記戻りビームは、LIDAR装置の一部内のある距離に亘って共通光路を共有し、
検出された前記戻りビームを示す出力信号を生成し、
前記基板に取り付けられた照射ドライバによって、前記照射源が前記測定ビームを出射するように、ある量の電力を前記照射源に供給し、
前記基板に取り付けられたビームスプリッタにより、前記測定ビーム及び前記戻りビームを前記共通光路から分離する、
ことを含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記照射源が、レーザダイオード又は発光ダイオードを含み、
前記基板が第1の基板であり、
前記照射源及び前記照射ドライバが、前記第1の基板に取り付けられた第2の基板上に統合されることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の方法。 - 前記ビームスプリッタが、開口を有するミラーを含み、前記測定ビームが、前記ミラー内の前記開口を通過することを特徴とする請求項14に記載の方法。
- 集束光学系により、前記測定ビームが前記ミラー内の前記開口を通過した後に、前記測定ビームをコリメートすることを特徴とする請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記集束光学系により、前記戻りビームを前記ミラー上に集束し、
前記ミラーにより、前記戻りビームを前記検出器のアクティブ感知表面領域に向けて反射することを特徴とする請求項17に記載の方法。 - 前記ビームスプリッタに含まれ、前記共通光路内に配置された能動光学素子の屈折率を選択し、
前記屈折率を使用して前記能動光学素子により、第1の状態では前記戻りビームを前記検出器に導き、
前記屈折率を使用して前記能動光学素子により、第2の状態では前記測定ビームを前記共通光路に導く、
ことを更に含むことを特徴とする請求項14に記載の方法。 - 前記共通光路内に配置された第1の光学素子によって、前記戻りビームを前記検出器に集束し、
前記共通光路内に配置された第2の光学素子によって、前記測定ビームを前記共通光路に導く、
ことを更に含み、
前記照射源は、前記検出器の視野外に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の方法。 - 前記照射源により、前記検出器の視野内の開口を介して前記測定ビームを出射することを更に含み、
前記開口が前記共通光路内に配置されたミラー内に含まれ、前記測定ビームが前記開口を介して前記共通光路内に出射されることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の方法。 - 前記検出器の視野外に位置する照射源と、前記ビームスプリッタに含まれ、前記検出器の視野内の前記共通光路内に配置されたミラーと、を光ファイバにより光学的に接続することを更に含むことを特徴とする請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記ビームスプリッタが第1の偏光制御素子を有し、
前記方法が、
前記測定ビームのビーム経路内に位置する前記第1の偏光制御素子の第1の偏光状態を選択し、前記測定ビームが前記第1の偏光制御素子を通過するようにし、
前記第1の偏光制御素子の第2の偏光状態を選択し、前記戻りビームを前記第1の偏光制御素子から前記検出器に向かって反射させる、
ことを更に含むことを特徴とする請求項14に記載の方法。 - 前記戻りビームのビーム経路内に配置された第2の偏光制御素子の偏光状態を選択し、前記検出器に向けられる前記戻りビームの量を制御することを更に含むことを特徴とする請求項23に記載の方法。
