Description
図1は、ポインティングデバイスの一例を示す外観図である。符号G1はポインティングデバイスの側面を示し、符号G2はポインティングデバイスの上面を示す。
第1実施例のポインティングデバイスは、ドーム部10が回転部3を外側から覆うように回転部3に重なる。このため、回転部3の内側の空間に上方からゴミが入りにくいという利点が得られる。しかし、回転部3はドーム部10を外側から覆うようにドーム部10に重ねてもよい。
次に摘み12の形状の例を述べる。
図14は、ポインティングデバイスの他の例を示す外観図である。符号G12はポインティングデバイスの側面を示し、符号G13はポインティングデバイスの上面を示す。

Claims (9)
- 基板と、
前記基板に対し傾斜可能に設けられ、内壁から突出した突起を備えた操作部材と、
前記基板の板面に沿った方向に回転可能に設けられ、前記操作部材に重なったときに前記突起が入る穴部を備える回転部材とを有し、
前記回転部材は、前記操作部材の回転に従って前記突起が前記穴部の縁に接触することにより前記操作部材に連動して回転し、
前記穴部は、前記操作部材の傾斜により前記突起が移動することができる範囲にわたって前記回転部材の外周面に形成されていることを特徴とするポインティングデバイス。 - 前記操作部材は、前記回転部材を外側から覆うように前記回転部材に重なることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のポインティングデバイス。
- 前記操作部材は、頂点部分に摘みが設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のポインティングデバイス。
- 前記回転部材は、回転方向に沿って設けられた凹凸または穴を有し、
前記基板には、前記回転部材の回転を前記凹凸または前記穴により検出する第1検出手段が設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3の何れかに記載のポインティングデバイス。 - 前記基板には、先端部分が前記凹凸または前記穴に係合するように付勢された弾性の棒状部材が設けられていることを特徴とする請求項4に記載のポインティングデバイス。
- 前記操作部材が押圧されたことを検出する第2検出手段が設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至5の何れかに記載のポインティングデバイス。
- 基板と、
突起を備えた基部を含み、前記基板に対して傾斜可能に設けられた操作部材と、
前記突起を前記基板に向かって付勢して前記基部を収容する収容部材とを有し、
前記収容部材の内周面には、前記操作部材の傾斜により前記突起が移動することができる範囲を避けるように凸部が設けられ、
前記収容部材は、前記操作部材の回転に従って前記突起が前記凸部に接触することにより前記操作部材に連動して回転することを特徴とするポインティングデバイス。 - 前記基板の板面に沿った方向に回転可能に設けられ、内周面が前記収容部材の外周面と対向するように前記収容部材を収容する回転部材を有し、
前記収容部材の外周面と前記回転部材の内周面には、互いに係合する凹凸がそれぞれ設けられていることを特徴とする請求項7に記載のポインティングデバイス。 - 前記収容部材の外周面には凹凸が設けられ、
前記基板には、前記外周面と対向するように設けられ、前記収容部材の回転を前記凹凸により検出する第3検出手段が設けられていることを特徴とする請求項8に記載のポインティングデバイス。
