Claims (19)
- 外部バックミラー組立品であって、
車両ドアと枢動可能に結合され、拡張位置と収縮位置との間で動作可能なハウジングと、
前記ハウジングと動作可能に結合される調光可能な電気光学素子と、
前記調光可能な電気光学素子に近接して配置される表示モジュールであって、前記ハウジングが前記収縮位置にある時に起動し、前記ハウジングが前記拡張位置にある時に作動停止する表示モジュールと、
前記ハウジングと動作可能に結合され、前記ハウジングが前記収縮位置にある時に画像データを捕捉し、前記起動した表示モジュール上に前記画像データを表示するように構成される撮像装置と、を備え、前記表示モジュールによって表示される視野は、前記調光可能な電気光学素子によって提供される反射画像の視野と同じであり、前記調光可能な電気光学素子は、前記ハウジングが前記拡張位置にある時に暗くなり、前記ハウジングが前記収縮位置にある時に明るくなるように構成される、ことを特徴とする外部バックミラー組立品。 - 前記撮像装置が前記ハウジング内に配置され、前記ハウジング上に位置付けられた撮像素子レンズと光通信する、請求項1に記載の外部バックミラー組立品。
- 前記撮像装置が、前記調光可能な電気光学素子によって提供される視野よりも広いかまたはそれより狭い後方視野を提供するように調節可能である、請求項1または請求項2に記載の外部バックミラー組立品。

- 前記回路基板と前記調光可能な電気光学素子との間に配置されるヒーターをさらに備える、請求項6に記載の外部バックミラー組立品。

前記ハウジングの遠位端上に動作可能に配置され、前記ハウジングが収縮位置にある時に前記車両後方の画像データを捕捉するように構成される撮像装置と、を備え、前記電気光学素子は、前記収縮位置にある時に明るくなるように構成される、ことを特徴とする外部バックミラー組立品。 - 前記電気光学素子が、前記ハウジングが前記拡張位置にある時に暗くなるように構成される、請求項9に記載の外部バックミラー組立品。

前記電気光学素子に近接して配置される表示モジュールであって、前記ハウジングが前記収縮位置にある時に起動し、前記ハウジングが前記拡張位置にある時に作動停止する表示モジュールと、
画像データを捕捉し、前記画像データを前記起動された表示モジュール上に表示するように構成される撮像装置と、
前記表示モジュールによる画像データ出力を確認するために前記表示モジュールを監視し、前記表示モジュールが画像データを出力しない場合に、前記電気光学素子によって反射した後方視野が提供されるように前記ハウジングを前記拡張位置に自動的に移動させるように構成される安全機能と、を備える、ことを特徴とする外部バックミラー組立品。 - 前記撮像装置が前記ハウジング内に配置され、前記ハウジング上に位置付けられた撮像素子レンズと光通信する、請求項14に記載の外部バックミラー組立品。
- 前記撮像装置が、前記電気光学素子によって提供される視野よりも広いかまたはそれより狭い後方視野を提供するように調節可能である、請求項14または請求項15に記載の外部バックミラー組立品。
- 前記撮像装置と動作可能に結合され、前記撮像装置を起動および作動停止するように構成される回路基板をさらに備える、請求項14~16のいずれか1項に記載の外部バックミラー組立品。
- 前記回路基板と前記電気光学素子との間に配置されるヒーターをさらに備える、請求項17に記載の外部バックミラー組立品。
- 前記ヒーターが、前記表示モジュールおよび前記回路基板の背面の実質的に全体にわたって延びる、請求項18に記載の外部バックミラー組立品。
