Claims (7)
- 駆動力源から出力された回転力を駆動輪へ伝達するための車両用プロペラシャフトであって、
大径管部と、前記大径管部よりも小径の第1小径管部と、前記大径管部の一端と前記第1小径管部との間に形成された第1テーパ管部とを一体に有する第1管状部材と、
前記第1管状部材と同心に接合され、前記第1管状部材よりも高強度材料から構成された第2管状部材とを、含み、
前記第2管状部材は、前記第1管状部材よりも薄肉である
ことを特徴とする車両用プロペラシャフト。 - 前記第1管状部材は、機械構造用炭素鋼鋼管から加工されたものであり、
前記第2管状部材は、高張力鋼から加工されたものである
ことを特徴とする請求項1の車両用プロペラシャフト。 - 前記第2管状部材は、前記第1管状部材よりも回転中心軸方向の寸法が大きい
ことを特徴とする請求項1または2の車両用プロペラシャフト。 - 前記第2管状部材を構成する材料の強度と前記第1管状部材を構成する材料の強度との間の強度差は、引張強さの差が100MPa以上である
ことを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか1の車両用プロペラシャフト。 - 前記第2管状部材は、前記第1管状部材の前記第1小径管部と同じ外径を有して前記第1小径管部と接合されている
ことを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれか1の車両用プロペラシャフト。 - 前記第1管状部材は、前記大径管部および前記第1小径管部より小径の第2小径管部と、前記大径管部の他端と前記第2小径管部との間に形成された第2テーパ管部とを、さらに有する
ことを特徴とする請求項1から5のいずれか1の車両用プロペラシャフト。 - 前記第2小径管部には、回転中心軸方向に伸縮可能な伸縮軸を介して第1ユニバーサル継ぎ手が設けられ、
前記第2管状部材の前記第1管状部材とは反対側の端部には、第2ユニバーサル継ぎ手が設けられている
ことを特徴とする請求項6の車両用プロペラシャフト。
