Description
平均重合度が2,400であり、鹸化度が99.9%以上の厚さ75μmのポリビニルアルコールフィルム(PS 7500、Kuraray社)を30℃の水(脱イオン水)で2分間浸漬して膨潤させた後、ヨード3.5mmol/Lとヨード化カリウム2重量%とが含有された30℃の染色用水溶液に4分浸漬して染色させた。この後、ヨード化カリウム2重量%とホウ酸3.7重量%とが添加された53℃の架橋用水溶液に2分間浸漬して架橋させた。
前記偏光子の両面に下記表2に記載された組成及び含有量の接着剤組成物を厚さ2μmになるように塗布した後、ニップロールを用いてコロナ処理されたアクリル系フィルム(未延伸PMMAフィルム、MD方向熱膨脹係数59.4ppm/K、TD方向熱膨脹係数53.6ppm/K)を両方に接合させた後、高圧水銀ランプでUV硬化させて偏光板を製造した。
(1)接着層の熱膨脹係数(CTE)
コロナ処理されていないシクロオレフィンポリマー(COP)フィルム(ゼオン社)1枚に前記表2の接着剤組成物をそれぞれ30μm厚さでバーコーティングで塗工した後、高圧水銀ランプ(UVA積算光量が500mJ/cm2×4回)でUV硬化を行った。
実施例及び比較例で製造された偏光板を15.0cm(MD)×11cm(TD)の大きさで切断した後、アクリル系接着剤組成物でガラスに接合し、オートクレーブ処理(50℃、20分、5気圧)を行った。
次いで、常温で24時間放置し、熱衝撃オーブン(温度が30分ずつ交互に−40℃から85℃に変更される、6時間が1サイクル)に偏光板を投入して時間により偏光子のクラックが発生したか否かを確認した。
Claims (6)
- MD方向の収縮力が3.5N/2mm以下である偏光子と保護フィルムとが、その間に介在される熱膨脹係数が112.1〜250ppm/Kである光硬化性接着層によって接着される、偏光板であって、
前記光硬化性接着層は、光硬化性接着剤組成物を露光させて形成したものであり、
前記光硬化性接着剤組成物は、
光ラジカル重合性化合物および光カチオン重合性化合物を含む光重合性化合物と、
光重合開始材とを含む、偏光板。 - 前記偏光子は、TD方向の収縮力が2.5N/2mm以下である、請求項1に記載の偏光板。
- 前記偏光子は、MD方向の収縮力がTD方向の収縮力の2.5倍以下である、請求項1に記載の偏光板。
- 前記保護フィルムは、アクリル系樹脂フィルム、ポリエステル系樹脂フィルム、セルロース系樹脂フィルム又はポリオレフィン系樹脂フィルムである、請求項1に記載の偏光板。
- 前記光硬化性接着層は、熱膨脹係数が200ppm/K以下である、請求項1に記載の偏光板。
- 請求項1乃至5の何れか一項に記載の偏光板を備える、画像表示装置。
