Description
前述した内容は、燃焼室22の壁面に沿うように吸気が流れる(タンブル流が生成される)場合を想定して隔壁プレート48の形状Lb(Yp,l)を算出したものである。しかしながら、実際には、必ずしも燃焼室22の壁面に沿うように吸気が流れず、燃焼室22の壁面から離れてタンブル流を形成する場合もある。

Claims (5)
- 燃焼室と接続される吸気管によって形成される吸気流路を、バルブによって開閉される第1の吸気流路、および、第2の吸気流路とに分離する隔壁プレートであって、
前記吸気管の延在方向と直交する第1の断面の形状は、前記吸気管のうち前記第2の吸気流路を挟んで対向する面の形状に基づいて決定され、前記隔壁プレートのうち幅方向における中央部と前記対向する面との間隔は、前記隔壁プレートのうち幅方向における両端部と前記対向する面との間隔以上である隔壁プレート。 - 前記第1の断面の形状は、前記燃焼室の形状と、前記吸気管のうち前記第2の吸気流路を挟んで対向する面の形状とに基づいて決定される請求項1に記載の隔壁プレート。
- 前記第1の断面の形状は、エンジンのシリンダボアの軸方向である第1方向と前記燃焼室の吸気側から排気側に向かう第2方向とを含む第2の断面において前記燃焼室の壁面に沿った周方向の長さに基づいて決定される請求項2に記載の隔壁プレート。
