Claims (12)
- 可撓性を有するシート状の表示部と、前記表示部を保持する複数の筐体と、を少なくとも備える折り畳み式表示装置であって、
前記複数の筐体は、内部に空間が形成されるU字状若しくはコの字状の断面の第1筐体と、前記第1筐体の両端に配置され、互いに離れる方向に折り曲げ可能に連結される板状の第2筐体及び第3筐体と、で構成され、
前記表示部は、前記第1筐体側で折り畳まれるように、前記第2筐体及び前記第3筐体に固定され、
前記第2筐体及び前記第3筐体を折り曲げない閉状態では、前記表示部の折り畳み部分が前記第1筐体の前記空間に格納され、
前記第2筐体及び前記第3筐体を互いに離れる方向に折り曲げた開状態では、前記表示部が平坦になると共に、前記第1筐体が前記第2筐体及び前記第3筐体の平面から突出する脚として機能し、
前記開状態では保持部材が前記第2筐体と前記第3筐体との間の空間に加えて前記第2筐体及び前記第3筐体に延びて前記第2筐体と前記第3筐体とを繋ぐことにより、前記第2筐体と前記第3筐体とが固定されると共に、前記表示部の前記折り畳み部分が支持される、ことを特徴とする折り畳み式表示装置。 - 前記第1筐体は、板状の底部と、前記底部の両端に配置され、互いに近づく方向に折り曲げ可能に連結される2つの側部と、で構成され、
前記底部と各々の前記側部との連結部分には、各々の前記側部の折り曲げ角度を制限する制限部材が配置されている、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の折り畳み式表示装置。 - 前記第1筐体の前記空間は、前記表示部の前記折り畳み部分を、前記表示部の機能を維持できる曲率で格納可能なサイズに設定されている、ことを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の折り畳み式表示装置。
- 前記第2筐体には前記保持部材がスライド可能に格納され、前記第3筐体には前記保持部材を挿入可能なガイド部が形成され、
前記開状態では、前記保持部材が前記ガイド部に挿入されることによって、前記第2筐体と前記第3筐体とが固定されると共に、前記表示部の前記折り畳み部分が保持される、ことを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれか一に記載の折り畳み式表示装置。 - 前記表示部は、上下のフレキシブル基板の間に、スイッチング素子と有機EL素子とがマトリクス状に形成された有機ELディスプレイであり、前記スイッチング素子及び前記有機EL素子の上側及び下側の各々に一層以上の無機膜の層を含む、ことを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれか一に記載の折り畳み式表示装置。
- 前記表示部は、上下のフレキシブル基板の間に、スイッチング素子と有機EL素子とがマトリクス状に形成された有機ELディスプレイであり、前記スイッチング素子及び前記有機EL素子の上側及び下側の各々に無機薄膜と有機膜との積層体を含む、ことを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれか一に記載の折り畳み式表示装置。
- 前記有機ELディスプレイは、上側の前記フレキシブル基板にタッチセンサを備えるタッチパネルである、ことを特徴とする請求項5又は6に記載の折り畳み式表示装置。
- 前記第1筐体を2つ有し、2つの前記第1筐体の内側に前記第2筐体が連結され、2つの前記第1筐体の両外側に2つの前記第3筐体が連結され、
前記閉状態では、前記第2筐体の同じ面に、2つの前記第3筐体が重なるように折り畳まれ、
前記開状態では、第1の保持部材により前記第2筐体と一方の前記第3筐体とが固定され、第2の保持部材により前記第2筐体と他方の前記第3筐体とが固定される、ことを特徴とする請求項1乃至3、5乃至7のいずれか一に記載の折り畳み式表示装置。 - 前記第1筐体を2つ有し、2つの前記第1筐体の内側に前記第2筐体が連結され、2つの前記第1筐体の両外側に2つの前記第3筐体が連結され、
前記閉状態では、前記第2筐体の同じ面に、2つの前記第3筐体が重なるように折り畳まれ、
前記開状態では、第1の保持部材により前記第2筐体と一方の前記第3筐体とが固定され、第2の保持部材により前記第2筐体と他方の前記第3筐体とが固定される、ことを特徴とする請求項4に記載の折り畳み式表示装置。 - 前記第2筐体に、前記第1の保持部材及び前記第2の保持部材が格納され、2つの前記第3筐体の各々に前記ガイド部が形成される、ことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の折り畳み式表示装置。
- 請求項1乃至10のいずれか一に記載の折り畳み式表示装置を備えることを特徴とする電気機器。
- 請求項8乃至10のいずれか一に記載の前記折り畳み式表示装置を備える電気機器であって、
前記一方の第3筐体若しくは前記第2筐体の、前記表示部が固定される面と反対側の面に第2の表示部を備える、ことを特徴とする電気機器。
