Description
本出願は、2012年4月30日に出願された米国仮特許出願第61/640,168号に対する優先権の利益を主張し、その開示全体が、参照によりすべての目的で本明細書に組み込まれる。

(2)ミリングまたは微粉砕によって前記遷移金属マスターバッチ組成物を含む前記押出成形物を微粒子型に処理するステップであって、前記粒径は、約5.0mm未満のふるいサイズである、ステップと、
(3)前記微粒子の遷移金属マスターバッチ組成物および粉末化酸素捕捉剤組成物を含む均一混合物を調製するステップであって、前記粉末化酸素捕捉剤組成物は、前記微粒子の遷移金属マスターバッチ組成物および前記粉末化酸素捕捉剤組成物の総合重量に基づいて、約85重量パーセントを超える量で存在する、ステップと、
(4)前記微粒子の遷移金属マスターバッチ組成物および粉末化酸素捕捉剤組成物を含む前記均一混合物から圧縮された単一ペレットを形成し、それによって遷移金属圧縮ペレットを製造するステップと、を含む、方法。

A.定義
式中、nは、典型的に整数である。すなわち、Rnは、5個の独立した置換基、Rn(a)、Rn(b)、Rn(c)、Rn(d)、Rn(e)を表すことが理解される。「独立した置換基」は、各R置換基が独立して定義され得ることが意図される。例えば、一例では、Rn(a)がハロゲンである場合、Rn(b)は、この例では必ずしもハロゲンではない。

式中、nおよびpは、独立して、0または1〜5の整数であり、各R1およびR2は、独立して、H、C1〜C12アルキル、C1〜C6アルコキシ、C6〜C20アリールオキシ、ヒドロキシ、C2〜C6アルケニル、NR19R20、アセチル、ニトロ、グリセリル、炭水化物、−C(=O)H、Lから選択されるか、または2個のR1もしくは2個のR2基は、式−O−R18−Oの基を形成することができ、R3およびR4は各々、Hであり、R5〜R10は、独立して、HまたはC1〜C3アルキルから選択され、R18は、C2〜C6アルキルである。さらなる態様では、nおよびpは各々、0、1または2である。さらに別の態様では、R1およびR2は、独立して、H、C1〜C4アルキル、ヒドロキシ、C1〜C3アルコキシ、または炭水化物から選択される。さらに別の態様では、R1およびR2は、独立して、H、メチル、エチル、ヒドロキシ、メトキシ、エトキシ、またはグルコースから選択される。さらに別の態様では、R5〜R10の各々はHである。さらに別の態様では、R1およびR2は各々、Hである。
式中、qは、0または1〜4の整数であり、Lは、式−(O−R21)z−O−、−(NH−R21)z−NH−、−(NH−C(=O)R22)t−NH、−NH−R25−NH(C(=O)R26NHR25NH)u−、−(O−R23−O−R24−C(=O)s−O−の連結基であり、Lは、構造(I)でArの炭素原子に結合される(例えば、ArのH原子を置換する)か、または構造(II)のR12またはR13は、Lであり、R11は、H、C1〜C12アルキル、C1〜C6アルコキシ、C6〜C20アリールオキシ、ヒドロキシ、C2〜C6アルケニル、NR19R20、アセチル、ニトロ、グリセリル、炭水化物、−C(=O)H、Lから選択されるか、または2個のR1もしくは2個のR2基は、式−O−R18−Oの基を形成することができ、R12およびR13は各々、独立して、H、C1〜C6アルキル、C6〜C20アリール、C1〜C6アルコキシ、またはLであり、R14およびR15は各々、Hであり、R16およびR17は、独立して、HまたはC1〜C3アルキルから選択され、R18は、C2〜C6アルキルである。さらなる態様では、R16およびR17は各々、Hである。さらに別の態様では、各R11は、独立して、H、C1−C4アルキル、ヒドロキシ、もしくはC1−C3アルコキシ、または炭水化物から選択される。さらに別の態様では、各R11は、独立して、H、メチル、エチル、ヒドロキシ、メトキシ、またはエトキシから選択される。

Co芳香錠(LDR、%):Co芳香錠およびポリマー担体、例えば、PETポリマーを含むマスターバッチ(「MB」)の割合として付与されるCoNDA(上記の実施例1参照)希釈率(「LDR」)。
Co濃縮物(MB中の%):Co芳香錠およびポリマー担体を含むMB内の最終Co濃縮物を提供し、表のデータは、20.5重量%のCoを含むCo芳香錠に基づいている。
DC300(重量%):CoのMBおよび酸素捕捉剤を含む遷移金属圧縮ペレット内に存在する酸素捕捉剤のDC300の量を提供する。
CoのMB(重量%):CoのMBおよび酸素捕捉剤を含む遷移金属圧縮ペレット内に存在するCoのMBの量を提供する。
圧縮体(LDR、%):プリフォーム、例えば、PETプリフォームへの圧縮ペレット材料のLDRを提供する。

Claims (15)
- 遷移金属マスターバッチ組成物であって、
(a)ポリエステルポリマーを含む固体ポリマー担体であって、前記固体ポリマー担体が、75重量パーセント〜85重量パーセントの量で存在する固体ポリマー担体と、
(b)前記固体ポリマー担体内に分散されるコバルトと、を含み、
前記コバルトは、前記遷移金属マスターバッチ組成物の重量に基づいて30,000ppm(金属比)を超える量で存在する、組成物。 - 前記ポリエステルポリマーは、ポリアルキルテレフタレートまたはこのコポリマーである、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記ポリエステルポリマーは、ポリエチレンテレフタレートまたはこのコポリマーである、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記ポリエステルポリマーは、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリ(ジメチルシクロヘキサンテレフタレート)、ポリトリメチレンテレフタレート、ポリナフタレート、またはこれらのコポリマーから選択される、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- コバルト源は、カルボン酸コバルト、ネオデカン酸コバルト、またはこれらの混合物を含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記コバルトは、前記遷移金属マスターバッチ組成物の重量に基づいて40,000ppm(金属比)を超える量で存在する、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 遷移金属マスターバッチ組成物を押し出すステップを含む、遷移金属マスターバッチ組成物を作製する方法であって、前記組成物は、
(a)ポリエステルポリマーを含む固体ポリマー担体であって、前記固体ポリマー担体が、75重量パーセント〜85重量パーセントの量で存在する固体ポリマー担体と、
(b)前記遷移金属マスターバッチ組成物の重量に基づいて30,000ppm(金属比)を超える量で存在するコバルト
を含む、方法。 - 押し出すステップ後に前記遷移金属マスターバッチ組成物をミリングするステップをさらに含む、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記遷移金属マスターバッチ組成物は、1.0mm未満のふるいサイズの粒径までミリングされる、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリマー担体は、ポリエステルポリマーを含む、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリエステルポリマーは、ポリエチレンテレフタレートまたはこのコポリマーである、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記コバルトは、前記遷移金属マスターバッチ組成物の重量に基づいて40,000ppm(金属比)を超える量で存在する、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 遷移金属圧縮ペレットを作製する方法であって、
(1)遷移金属マスターバッチ組成物を押し出すステップであって、前記組成物は、
(a)固体ポリマー担体と、
(b)遷移金属組成物と、を含み、
前記遷移金属組成物は、前記遷移金属マスターバッチ組成物の重量に基づいて30,000ppm(金属比)を超える量で存在する、ステップと、
(2)ミリングまたは微粉砕によって前記遷移金属マスターバッチ組成物を含む前記押出成形物を微粒子型に処理するステップであって、前記粒径は、5.0mm未満のふるいサイズである、ステップと、
(3)前記微粒子の遷移金属マスターバッチ組成物および粉末化酸素捕捉剤組成物を含む均一混合物を調製するステップであって、前記粉末化酸素捕捉剤組成物は、前記微粒子の遷移金属マスターバッチ組成物および前記粉末化酸素捕捉剤組成物の総合重量に基づいて、85重量パーセントを超える量で存在する、ステップと、
(4)前記微粒子の遷移金属マスターバッチ組成物および粉末化酸素捕捉剤組成物を含む前記均一混合物から圧縮された単一ペレットを形成し、それによって遷移金属圧縮ペレットを製造するステップと、を含む、方法。
