Description
(1)EPDM発泡体の製造
表1および表2に示す配合処方に記載の配合量において、樹脂、架橋助剤、加工助剤、顔料、難燃剤、充填材および軟化剤(比較例1では、さらにN,N´−ジブチルチオウレア)を配合し、3L加圧ニーダーにて混練し、一次混和物を調製した。
EPDM(A):EPT1045(三井化学社製、ジエン(ジシクロペンタジエン)含量5.0質量%)チーグラー・ナッタ触媒使用
EPDM(B):EPT8030M(三井化学社製、長鎖分岐含有、ジエン(5−エチリデン−2−ノルボルネン)含量9.5質量%)メタロセン触媒使用
EPDM(C):エプタロイPX−047(三井化学社製、ジエン(5−エチリデン−2−ノルボルネン)含量4.5質量%、ポリエチレンブレンドタイプ、ポリエチレン含量20PHR)
EPDM(D):EPT4045(三井化学社製、ジエン(5−エチリデン−2−ノルボルネン)含量8.1質量%)
PE:低密度ポリエチレン
PEG:PEG4000S(ポリエチレングリコール、数平均分子量3400)
酸化亜鉛:酸化亜鉛2種、三井金属鉱業社製
ステアリン酸:粉末ステアリン酸さくら、日油社製
カーボンブラック:旭#50、旭カーボン社製
水酸化マグネシウム:キスマ5A、協和化学工業社製
水酸化アルミニウム(H−32):ハイジライトH−32、昭和電工社製
水酸化アルミニウム(H−42):ハイジライトH−42、昭和電工社製
炭酸カルシウム:N重質炭酸カルシウム、丸尾カルシウム社製
パラフィン系プロセスオイル:ダイアナプロセスオイルPW−380、出光興産社製
α,α´−ジ(t−ブチルパーオキシ)ジイソプロピルベンゼン:パーブチルP−40MB、1分間半減期温度:175℃、日油社製
1,1−ジ(t−ブチルパーオキシ)シクロヘキサン:パーヘキサC、1分間半減期温度:154℃、日油社製
ジクミルパーオキサイド:パークミルD、1分間半減期温度:175℃、日油社製
p−キノンジオキシム:バルノックGM、大内新興化学工業社製
p,p´−ジベンゾイルキノンジオキシム:バルノックDGM、大内新興化学工業社製
硫黄:アルファグランS−50EN、東知社製
N,N´−ジブチルチオウレア:ノクセラーBUR、大内新興化学社製
2−メルカプトベンゾチアゾール:ノクセラーM、大内新興化学社製
ジメチルジチオカルバミン酸亜鉛:ノクセラーPZ、大内新興化学社製
ジエチルジチオカルバミン酸亜鉛:ノクセラーEZ、大内新興化学社製
2−メルカプトベンゾイミダゾール:ノクラックMB、大内新興化学社製
ADCA(アゾジカルボンアミド:AC#LQ、永和化成工業社製
尿素系発泡助剤:セルペーストK5、永和化成工業社製
(2)物性測定
得られたEPDM発泡体の各物性を、下記に示す方法で測定した。結果を表3および表4に示す。
A)見掛け密度
JIS K 6767(1999)に準じて測定した。具体的には、各実施例および各比較例のEPDM発泡体のスキン層を除去して、厚み約10mmの試験片を調製した。その後、重量を測定して、単位体積あたりの重量(見掛け密度)を算出した。
B)50%圧縮荷重値
JIS K 6767(1999)に準じて測定した。具体的には、各実施例および各比較例のEPDM発泡体のスキン層を除去して、厚み約10mmの試験片を調製した。その後、圧縮試験機を用いて、圧縮速度10mm/分で50%圧縮してから10秒後の圧縮荷重値を測定した。
C)抗張力および伸び率
JIS K 6767(1999)に準じて測定した。具体的には、各実施例および各比較例のEPDM発泡体のスキン層を除去して、厚み約10mmの試験片を調製した。その後、ダンベル1号を用いて、試験片を打ち抜き、測定用サンプルとした。引張り試験機にて、引張り速度500mm/minの速さで測定用サンプルを引張り、測定用サンプルがダンベル形状平行部で切断したときの荷重(抗張力)および伸び率を測定した。
D)50%圧縮永久歪
JIS K 6767(1999)に準じて測定した。具体的には、EPDM発泡体を2枚のアルミニウム板の間に、スペーサを介し50%の圧縮状態で配置して固定し、常温(23℃)または80℃にて22時間放置した後、取り出してアルミニウム板より解放し、23℃において30分間または24時間放置した。このような圧縮および放置試験の後、下記式により、圧縮永久歪を求めた。
E)クリアランス追従性
EPDM発泡体を2枚のアルミニウム板の間に、スペーサを介し50%の圧縮状態で配置して固定し、80℃にて22時間放置した後、取り出してアルミニウム板より解放し、23℃において24時間放置した。その後再び2枚のアルミニウム板の間に、スペーサを介し40%の圧縮状態で配置した際のクリアランスを確認した。

F)銀腐食性
各実施例および各比較例のEPDM発泡体0.5gを100mL密閉瓶に入れ、密閉瓶の蓋の内側に、研磨および洗浄した銀(板状)を貼り付けた。これを、85℃の恒温槽に7日間投入し、銀の腐食の有無を確認した。腐食が確認されなかったものを「なし」、腐食が確認されたものを「あり」と評価した。
G)表面タック
各実施例および各比較例のEPDM発泡体の表面を指触して、表面のべたつきの有無を確認した。べたつきの感触がなかったものを「なし」、べたつきの感触があったものを「あり」と評価した。
H)硫黄原子含有量(理論値)
各実施例および各比較例で用いた原料成分における硫黄原子の含有量から、EPDM発泡体における硫黄原子の含有量を算出した。
I)硫黄原子含有量(蛍光X線測定)
EPDM発泡体を適当な大きさに切断し、4枚重ねにして蛍光X線測定(XRF)(測定径:30mmφ)を実施した。XRFの装置および条件を下記する。
X線源:縦型Rh管
分析面積:30mmφ
分析元素範囲:B〜U
また、定量は、全検出元素に占める硫黄元素の割合にて算出した。
J)硫黄S8含有量(GPC測定)
ゲルパーミエーションクロマトグラフィー(GPC)の測定結果に基づいて、硫黄S8の含有割合を算出した。手順、条件および装置などを下記する。
(手順1)
EPDM発泡体を細かく裁断して、最大長さの平均値が5mmの試料を作製した。次いで、EPDM発泡体300mgを秤量して、次いで、ホールピペットを用いてTHF(テトラヒドロフラン)10mlを加えて一晩静置した。
別途、硫黄S8をTHFに溶解して、濃度1000μg/mlに調整して、THF溶液を一晩静置した。その後、THF溶液を0.45μmメンブレンフィルターで濾過した。
手順2により作成した検量線に基づく検量線法によって、手順1における試料中の硫黄S8の質量を求めて、これを試料の質量(300mg)で割ることによって、試料における硫黄S8の含有割合を算出した。

溶離液:THF
流量:0.6ml/min
検出器:UV(280nm)

注入量:20μl
検出限界:10ppm
K)UL94 水平燃焼試験
UL94規格に準じた水平燃焼試験により、各実施例および各比較例のEPDM発泡体の耐熱性を評価した。なお、評価基準については、[プラスチック材料の燃焼性試験−UL94(1997)]における12.発泡材料の水平燃焼試験(12.1.4)および(12.1.6)に記載の基準である。

Claims (9)
- エチレン・プロピレン・ジエンゴムを含有するゴム組成物を発泡させてなり、
80℃において22時間50%圧縮した後、23℃において解放し、24時間後の圧縮永久歪が30%以下であり、
蛍光X線測定の測定結果に基づいて算出される硫黄原子の含有割合が、質量基準で1000ppm以下であり、
前記ゴム組成物が、さらに、キノイド化合物を含有し、
前記キノイド化合物が、p−キノンジオキシムの誘導体である
ことを特徴とする、エチレン・プロピレン・ジエンゴム発泡体。 - エチレン・プロピレン・ジエンゴムを含有するゴム組成物を発泡させてなり、
80℃において22時間50%圧縮した後、23℃において解放し、24時間後の圧縮永久歪が30%以下であり、
蛍光X線測定の測定結果に基づいて算出される硫黄原子の含有割合が、質量基準で1000ppm以下であり、
前記ゴム組成物において、エチレン・プロピレン・ジエンゴムが、長鎖分岐を有する
ことを特徴とする、エチレン・プロピレン・ジエンゴム発泡体。 - ゲルパーミエーションクロマトグラフィーの測定結果に基づいて算出される硫黄S8の含有割合が、質量基準で10ppm以下であることを特徴とする、請求項1または2に記載のエチレン・プロピレン・ジエンゴム発泡体。
- 見かけ密度が、0.50g/cm3以下であることを特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のエチレン・プロピレン・ジエンゴム発泡体。
- 前記ゴム組成物が、さらに、架橋助剤を含有し、
前記架橋助剤が、ポリオールを含有することを特徴とする、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のエチレン・プロピレン・ジエンゴム発泡体。 - 前記ポリオールが、ポリエチレングリコールであることを特徴とする、請求項5に記載のエチレン・プロピレン・ジエンゴム発泡体。
- 前記ゴム組成物が、さらに、有機過酸化物を含有し、
前記有機過酸化物が、α,α´−ジ(t−ブチルパーオキシ)ジイソプロピルベンゼンを含有することを特徴とする、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載のエチレン・プロピレン・ジエンゴム発泡体。 - 連続気泡構造または半連続半独立気泡構造を有することを特徴とする、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載のエチレン・プロピレン・ジエンゴム発泡体。
- 請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載のエチレン・プロピレン・ジエンゴム発泡体と、
前記エチレン・プロピレン・ジエンゴム発泡体の少なくとも片面に設けられる粘着層と
を備えることを特徴とする、シール材。
