前記絶縁管は、更に、複数の導体を受入れるように構成され且つ配列された複数の導体用内腔を有する、態様1に記載の脳刺激装置。
〔態様3〕
前記絶縁管は、更に、スタイレットを受入れるように構成され且つ配列されたスタイレット用内腔を有する、態様1に記載の脳刺激装置。
〔態様4〕
前記少なくとも1つの電極フレームの各々は、実質的に円筒形であり、前記少なくとも1つの電極フレームを前記絶縁管に結合させるための長手方向の切欠きを有する、態様1に記載の脳刺激装置。
〔態様5〕
前記少なくとも1つの電極フレームの各々は、更に、導体を収容する少なくとも1つの溝を有する、態様1に記載の脳刺激装置。
〔態様6〕
前記少なくとも1つの電極用孔の断面形状は、前記複数のセグメント電極の断面形状に一致する、態様1に記載の脳刺激装置。

前記複数のセグメント電極を前記前記絶縁キャリアに結合させる工程と、を有し、前記複数のセグメント電極は、前記複数の孔の中に1つずつ配置され、前記複数のセグメント電極の各々は、それを絶縁キャリアの中に固着させるための少なくとも1つのフランジを有し、
更に、前記絶縁キャリアをマンドレルの周りに巻付けて、円筒形のリード本体を形成する工程と、を有する方法。

前記少なくとも1つのフランジの各々は、前記孔の少なくとも1つの側面と噛合う、態様9に記載の方法。

脳刺激装置を製造する方法であって、
遠位端部分を有する絶縁管を形成する工程と、
前記絶縁管を貫通する少なくとも1つの導体用内腔を形成する工程と、を有し、前記少なくとも1つの導体用内腔は、前記絶縁管を長手方向に貫いて延び、
更に、複数の電極管を前記絶縁管の少なくとも1つの導体用内腔の中に導入する工程と、
前記絶縁管の外面の一部分を除去して、前記少なくとも1つの電極管の1つの一部分を露出させる工程と、を有する方法。
〔態様14〕
前記少なくとも1つの電極管の各々は、前記電極管を前記絶縁管に固着させるように構成された溝を有する、態様13に記載の方法。
〔態様15〕
前記少なくとも1つの導体用内腔を形成する工程は、複数の導体用内腔を前記絶縁管の周囲に等間隔に形成する工程を有する、態様13に記載の方法。
Claims (12)
- 脳刺激装置を製造する方法であって、
遠位端部分を有するリード本体を形成する工程と、
少なくとも1つのプレ電極を前記リード本体の遠位端部分に結合させる工程とを含み、前記少なくとも1つのプレ電極は、複数の仕切りアームを含むデバイダと、複数の固定用内腔とを有し、
更に、前記結合させる工程の後に、前記仕切りアームと整列した前記プレ電極の一部分を除去して、前記プレ電極を複数のセグメント電極に分割する工程を含み、前記複数のセグメント電極の各々は、その中を少なくとも部分的に通るように配置された前記複数の固定用内腔のうちの少なくとも1つを有し、
更に、非導電性の材料を前記少なくとも1つの固定用内腔に導入し、前記複数のセグメント電極を前記リード本体に結合させる工程を含む、ことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記少なくとも1つの前記固定用内腔は貫通孔である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記少なくとも1つのセグメント電極の各々は、少なくとも1つの導体用内腔を更に有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 更に、少なくとも1つの導体を前記少なくとも1つの導体用内腔の中に1つずつ配置する工程を含む、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記非導電性の材料を前記少なくとも1つの固定用内腔に導入する工程は、前記リード本体の一部分を前記少なくとも1つの固定用内腔の中にリフローさせる工程を有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記デバイダは、前記プレ電極の長手方向軸線に沿って延びる形状の通路であり、前記デバイダは、複数の仕切りアームを有する中央通路で形成され、前記複数の仕切りアームは、前記中央通路から離れるように異なる方向に延びている、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記複数の固定用内腔の各々は、前記プレ電極の長手方向の全長にわたって延びる貫通孔である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記少なくとも1つの導体用内腔の各々は、前記プレ電極の長手方向の全長にわたって延びる貫通孔である、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記複数の固定用内腔の各々は、前記プレ電極の長手方向の全長にわたって延びる貫通孔であり、前記少なくとも1つの導体用内腔の各々は、前記少なくとも1つの導体用内腔の各々よりも小さい断面を有する、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記プレ電極の一部分を除去する工程は、前記プレ電極を研削して前記プレ電極の直径を減らし、それによって、前記複数のセグメント電極を形成することを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記仕切りアームと整列した前記プレ電極の一部分を除去する前に、前記非導電性の材料を前記少なくとも1つの固定用内腔に導入する、請求項1に記載の方法。
