Description

本発明は、電極カテーテルと、組織切除のために電極カテーテルを使用する方法と、に関する。特に、本発明の電極カテーテルは、標的組織に切除エネルギー(たとえばRFエネルギー)を印加するための電極・組織接触および電気的結合を評価する回路を備えてもよい。

Claims (21)
- カテーテルに配置されかつ電気エネルギーを印加するように構成された電極が、アブレーションエネルギーが適用される現在の標的組織に近づく際に、前記電極と接地との間のインピーダンスを測定するように構成された測定回路と、
相違するタイプの組織に関連付けられて経験的に予め設定され、相違するタイプの組織についての組織の機械的特性および電気的特性に基づく結合状態の少なくとも1つに関連付けられた複数のベンチマーク値を含む第1データ構造と、
少なくとも部分的に、血液において確定された基線値に対する前記測定回路によって測定されたインピーダンス、および、相違するタイプの標的組織のうちの現在の標的組織に対応する1つについての前記予め設定されたベンチマーク値に基づいて、特定の瞬間における前記電極と現在の標的組織との間の1つの結合状態のレベルを確定するプロセッサと、を備え、
前記1つの結合状態のレベルは、複数の相違する結合状態のレベルのうちから確定され、
前記複数の相違する結合状態のレベルは、現在の標的組織を処置するために不十分な結合レベルと、現在の標的組織を処置するために十分なレベルとを含んでいる、結合検知システム。 - 前記電極と標的組織との間の結合が機械的接触である、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記電極と標的組織との間の結合が電気的結合である、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 電気的結合により、電気エネルギーが前記電極から前記標的組織に渡ることが可能となる、請求項3に記載のシステム。
- 前記電極から前記標的組織に渡る電気エネルギーが、切除中に損傷を形成するために十分である、請求項3または4に記載のシステム。
- 結合のレベルが、前記測定されたインピーダンスのリアクタンスに直接対応する、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- ゼロ(0)に近づくリアクタンスが、接触がほとんどないかまったくないことを示す、請求項6に記載のシステム。
- 次第に負になるリアクタンスが、電極・組織結合の増大を示す、請求項6に記載のシステム。
- 結合のレベルが、前記測定されたインピーダンスの位相角に直接対応する、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- ゼロ(0)に近づく位相角が、接触がほとんどないかまったくないことを示す、請求項9に記載のシステム。
- 次第に負になる位相角が、電極・組織結合の増大を示す、請求項9に記載のシステム。
- 前記結合状態をユーザに示す出力デバイスをさらに備える、請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記出力デバイスが、前記結合状態に対応するアナログ出力を含む、請求項12に記載のシステム。
- 前記測定回路がRCLメータを含む、請求項1〜13のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記測定回路が位相検出回路を含む、請求項1〜14のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記電極が、結合評価および組織切除の両方に対して電気エネルギーを印加するように構成される、請求項1〜15のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 結合評価のために電気エネルギーを印加する定電流源をさらに備える、請求項1〜16のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 結合評価のために電気エネルギーを印加する可変電流源をさらに備える、請求項1〜17のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 結合評価のために電気エネルギーを印加する定電圧源をさらに備える、請求項1〜18のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 結合評価のために電気エネルギーを印加する可変電圧源をさらに備える、請求項1〜19のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 組織切除のために電極・組織結合を評価する方法であって、
プロセッサが、測定回路によって測定された電極が標的組織に近づく際の前記電極と接地との間のインピーダンスからリアクタンス成分を分離するステップと、
プロセッサが、前記測定されたインピーダンスの前記リアクタンス成分を、データ構造に格納された、相違する組織のタイプについての予め設定された複数のベンチマーク値のうちの前記標的組織に対応する組織のタイプの1つと比較するステップと、
プロセッサが、少なくとも部分的に、前記組織の実際のインピーダンスを確定することなく血液において確定される基線値に対するリアクタンス成分に基づいて、前記標的組織に対する結合状態の複数の相違するレベルのうちの1つを示す、ステップと、を含み、
前記複数の相違する結合状態のレベルは、処置するために不十分な結合レベルと、処置するために十分なレベルとを含んでいる、方法。
