Claims (9)
- 内周に複列の外側転走面が一体に形成された外方部材と、
一端部に車輪を取り付けるための車輪取付フランジを一体に有し、外周に軸方向に延びる小径段部が形成されたハブ輪、およびこのハブ輪の小径段部に嵌合された少なくとも一つの内輪または等速自在継手の外側継手部材からなり、外周に前記複列の外側転走面に対向する複列の内側転走面が形成された内方部材と、
前記両転走面間に保持器を介して転動自在に収容された複列のボール列と、
前記外方部材と内方部材との間に形成される環状空間の開口部に装着されたシールとを備えた車輪用軸受装置において、
前記複列のボール列のボール径が同一に設定されると共に、前記複列の内側転走面のうち、大きなモーメント荷重が負荷される側の内側転走面の前記複列のボール列のボール径に対する肩高さの割合が、他方の内側転走面の前記複列のボール列のボール径に対する肩高さの割合よりも大きく設定され、前記複列の外側転走面のうち、大きなモーメント荷重が負荷される側の外側転走面の前記ボール径に対する肩高さの割合が、他方の外側転走面の前記ボール径に対する肩高さの割合よりも大きく設定されると共に、前記複列のボール列のボールの初期接触角が同一で、前記複列の内側転走面の前記ボール径に対する肩高さの割合が前記複列の外側転走面の前記ボール径に対する肩高さの割合よりも大きく設定されていることを特徴とする車輪用軸受装置。 - 前記複列のボール列のうち、アウター側のボール列のピッチ円直径がインナー側のボール列のピッチ円直径よりも大きく設定されている請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記複列の内側転走面のうち、アウター側の内側転走面の前記ボール径に対する肩高さの割合がインナー側の内側転走面の前記ボール径に対する肩高さの割合よりも大きく設定されると共に、前記複列の外側転走面のうち、アウター側の外側転走面の前記ボール径に対する肩高さの割合がインナー側の外側転走面の前記ボール径に対する肩高さの割合よりも大きく設定されている請求項2に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記アウター側のボール列のボール個数が前記インナー側のボール列のボール個数よりも多く設定されている請求項2または3に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記肩高さが前記複列のボール列のボール径に対して0.35〜0.50の範囲に設定されている請求項1乃至4いずれかに記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記一方の内側転走面の肩高さが、前記複列のボール列のボール径に対して0.45〜0.50の範囲に設定されると共に、他方の内側転走面の肩高さが当該ボール径に対して0.40〜0.45の範囲に設定されている請求項1乃至5いずれかに記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記一方の外側転走面の肩高さが、前記複列のボール列のボール径に対して0.40〜0.45の範囲に設定されると共に、他方の外側転走面の肩高さが当該ボール径に対して0.35〜0.40の範囲に設定されている請求項1乃至6いずれかに記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記内側転走面の肩部の角部が、曲率半径がR0.15〜2.0からなる円弧状に丸められると共に、前記内側転走面を形成する総型の研削砥石によって同時に形成され、当該内側転走面から滑らかに連続して形成されている請求項1乃至7いずれかに記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記複列の外側転走面の肩部の角部が、曲率半径がR0.15〜2.0からなる円弧状に丸められると共に、前記複列の外側転走面を形成する総型の研削砥石によって同時に形成され、当該外側転走面から滑らかに連続して形成されている請求項1乃至8いずれかに記載の車輪用軸受装置。
