Claims (8)
- 内周に複列の円弧状の外側転走面が一体に形成された外方部材と、
一端部に車輪を取り付けるための車輪取付フランジを一体に有し、外周に軸方向に延びる小径段部が形成されたハブ輪、およびこのハブ輪の小径段部に嵌合された少なくとも一つの内輪からなり、外周に前記複列の外側転走面に対向する複列の円弧状の内側転走面が形成された内方部材と、
前記両転走面間に保持器を介して転動自在に収容された複列のボールと、
前記外方部材と内方部材との間に形成される環状空間の両端開口部に装着されたシールとを備えた車輪用軸受装置において、
前記内輪の肩高さHが前記ボールの直径dの0.4〜0.8の範囲(H/d=0.4〜0.8)に設定され、前記内輪の外径に小径部が形成され、この小径部の肩高さδが前記ボールの直径dのδ/d≧0.35に設定されていると共に、前記内輪の外径から内側転走面に亙って所定の傾斜角からなるテーパ面が形成され、このテーパ面と前記内側転走面との角部が円弧状に丸められ、この角部までの内側転走面の肩高さH1がボールの直径dに対して、H1/d=0.40〜0.50の範囲に設定されていることを特徴とする車輪用軸受装置。 - 前記内側転走面の角部が当該内側転走面を成形する総型の研削砥石によって同時に滑らかに連続して形成されている請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記テーパ面の傾斜角が45°以下に設定されている請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記シールが、断面略L字状に形成された環状のシール板と、前記内輪の小径部に圧入される円筒部と、この円筒部から径方向外方に延びる立板部とからなるスリンガとからなると共に、前記シール板が、前記外方部材の端部内周に圧入される芯金と、この芯金に一体に加硫接着され、前記スリンガに摺接されるシール部材とからなるパックシールで構成され、前記内輪の小径部に前記スリンガが圧入されている請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記シール部材が、径方向外方に傾斜して延び、前記スリンガの立板部に所定の軸方向シメシロを介して摺接するサイドリップと、二股状に形成され、前記スリンガの円筒部に所定の径方向シメシロを介して摺接するグリースリップと中間リップとを備えている請求項4に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記シール部材が、径方向外方に傾斜して延び、前記スリンガの立板部に所定の軸方向シメシロを介して摺接する一対のサイドリップと、軸受内方側に延び、前記スリンガの円筒部に所定の径方向シメシロを介して摺接するグリースリップとを備えている請求項4に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記シール部材の外周部に、径方向外方に延び、断面略くの字形の外周リップが形成され、この外周リップが前記外方部材とナックルの鍔部との間隙に嵌り込むように配置されると共に、当該外周リップのリップ頂点の径が所定値に設定され、前記ナックルの鍔部に対して所定の掛かり代を持って当接されている請求項4乃至6いずれかに記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記ハブ輪の外周に前記複列の外側転走面の一方に対向する円弧状の内側転走面が形成され、この内側転走面の肩高さがボールの外径に対して0.40〜0.50の範囲に設定されている請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
