Description
本発明は、一般に放送テレビ・システムに関し、より詳細には、番組の録画、および、前に放送した内容をその録画に組み込むことに関する。
ある番組の録画の中に、前に放送された内容を組み込むための方法およびシステムを開示する。本発明の方法は、一般に、ある番組を含む放送を受信するステップと、番組の開始からその放送を自動的に録画して、番組の第1の部分を第1の記憶領域中に記憶するステップを含む。番組の第1の部分の録画中に録画コマンドが受信されると、第2の記憶領域内のスペースが割り振られる。番組の第2の部分が、第2の記憶領域中の割り振られたスペース中に録画される。

Claims (11)
- プログラムの録画要求を受信する以前に放送されたデータを録画に組み込むためのテレビシステムにおける方法であって、
1つのプログラムを含む放送を受信するステップと、
前記受信したプログラムの第1の部分を自動的に記憶するステップと、
前記第1の部分の記憶するステップに引き続き前記プログラムの録画要求を受信するステップと、
前記プログラムを記憶するために十分なスペースがあるかどうかを自動的に判断するステップであって、前記判断するステップは、少なくとも前記プログラムの時間を示す前記放送内に含まれる部分的なデータに基づいて行われる、ステップと、
前記要求の受信と前記プログラムを記憶するために十分なスペースがあるとの判断とに応答して、前記プログラムの第2の部分を記憶するステップと、
前記プログラムを記憶するために十分な連続スペースがないとの判断に応答して、
前記プログラムを記憶するために十分なサイズの単一の連続した位置を形成するため、複数の非連続的な位置を自動的にデフラグメントするステップと、
前記プログラムを前記連続した位置に記憶するステップと、
を有することを特徴とする方法。
- 前記第1の部分と前記第2の部分を非連続的な位置に記憶するステップと、
前記第1の部分と前記第2の部分の各々の位置を特定するデータ構造を記憶するステップと、
単一の連続したストリームとして非連続的に記憶された前記第1と第2の部分を再生するために前記データ構造にアクセスするステップと、
をさらに有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 記憶デバイスに前記十分なスペースがないとの判断に応答して、前記方法は、前記十分なスペースを作るために前記記憶デバイスから以前記憶されたプログラムを自動的に削除するステップをさらに有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記十分なスペースがあるかどうかを判断するステップは、
前記放送における前記プログラムに対応した最大ビットレートを示すメタデータを検出するステップと、
前記プログラムを記憶するのに必要な最小の記憶ビット数を計算するために前記最大ビットレートを使用するステップと
から構成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記プログラムの平均ビットレートは、前記最大ビットレートより小さく、前記プログラムの記憶の完了に引き続いて前記プログラムを記憶するために割り振られた記憶領域の未使用の部分を解放するステップをさらに有することを特徴とする請求項4に記載の方法。
- プログラムを含む放送を受信するように構成された受信機と、
記憶デバイスと、
プロセッサと、
から構成され、前記プロセッサは、
前記受信したプログラムの第1の部分を自動的に記憶し、
前記第1の部分の記憶完了に引き続きプログラム録画要求を受信し、
前記プログラムを記憶するために十分なスペースがあるかどうかを自動的に判断し、
前記十分なスペースがあるかどうかの判断は、少なくとも前記プログラムの時間を示す前記放送に含まれた部分的データに基づき、
前記要求の受信と前記プログラムを記憶するために十分なスペースがあるとの判断に応答して前記プログラムの第2の部分を記憶するように構成され、
前記プログラムを記憶するために十分なスペースがないとの判断に応答して、
連続した記憶スペースを増加するため、前記記憶デバイスにおいて複数の非連続的な位置を自動的にデフラグメントし、
前記プログラムを記憶するために十分なサイズのスペースがあるとの判断に応答して、前記記憶デバイスに前記プログラムを記憶することを特徴とする、前記プログラム録画要求を受信する以前に放送されたプログラムの部分を含むプログラムを録画するための受信デバイス。
- 前記プロセッサは、さらに、
前記第1の部分と第2の部分を非連続的な位置に記憶し、
前記第1の部分と第2の部分の非連続的な位置を特定するデータ構造を記憶し、
非連続的に記憶された前記第1の部分と第2の部分を単一の連続したストリームとして再生するために前記データ構造にアクセスするように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の受信デバイス。
- 前記プログラムを記憶するために十分なスペースがないとの判断に応答して、前記プロセッサは、
前記プログラムを記憶するために十分なサイズの単一の連続した位置を形成するため、前記記憶デバイスにおいて複数の非連続的な位置のデフラグメントを自動的に開始し、
前記連続した位置に前記プログラムを記憶するようにさらに構成されていることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の受信デバイス。
- 前記記憶デバイスに前記十分なスペースがないとの判断に応答して、前記プロセッサは、前記十分なスペースを作るために、以前記憶したプログラムを自動的に前記記憶デバイスから削除するようさらに構成されていることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の受信デバイス。
- 前記十分なスペースがあるかどうかの判断において、前記プロセッサは、
前記放送にある前記プログラムに対応する最大ビットレートを示すメタデータを検出し、
前記プログラムを記憶するのに必要な最小の記憶ビット数を計算するために前記最大ビットレートを使用するように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の受信デバイス。
- 前記プログラムの平均ビットレートは、前記最大ビットレートより小さく、前記プロセッサは前記プログラムの記憶完了に引き続き前記プログラムを記憶するために割り振っておいた未使用の記憶領域を解放するようにさらに構成されていることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の受信デバイス。
