Claims (4)
- ねじ山形成ねじ(1;2;3;4)であって、
ねじ端(12;22;32;42)と、
シャンク(10;20;30;40)と、
ねじ山の無いヘッド(11;21;31;41)と
を有し、
前記シャンク(10;20;30;40)には、ねじ山(13;23;33;43)が設けられ、
さらに、予備形成領域(101;201;301;401)と、
前記予備形成領域(101;201;301;401)に続いて設けられた中間領域(102;202;302;402)と、
前記中間領域(102;202;302;402)に隣接して前記ヘッド(11;21;31;41)の下となるように設けられる固定領域(103;203;303;403)とを有し、
前記予備形成領域(101;201;301;401)は、
前記ねじ端(12;22;32;42)に直接隣接するように設けられ、
前記予備形成領域(101;201;301;401)がねじ込まれると、このねじ込みに必要なトルクは、前記予備形成領域(101;201;301;401)が完全にねじ込まれるまで増加するねじにおいて、
前記ねじ端(32)は先端として設計されており、
前記予備形成領域(302)の外径(OD)は、
前記先端から始まって、前記中間領域(302)に直接隣接する部分まで増大し、
さらにこのねじにおいて、前記中間領域(302)の外径(OD)は、
前記予備形成領域(301)に直接隣接する部分において前記予備形成領域(301)の前記中間領域に直接隣接する部分の外径(OD)よりも小さく、
このねじの外径(OD)は、前記予備形成領域(301)に隣接する前記中間領域(302)の部分から始まって、前記中間領域(302)および前記固定領域(303)にわたり円錐状に増大して、前記固定領域(303)の少なくとも一部において、前記中間領域(302)に隣接する部分における前記予備形成領域(301)の外径(OD)と同一またはほぼ同一あるいは前記中間領域(302)に隣接する部分における前記予備形成領域(301)の外径よりも大きい寸法となり、
前記予備形成領域(301)における前記ねじシャンク(30)は、多角形状断面を有し、この断面は、ねじ軸(A)から最大径方向距離にある点(P1,P4,P5)または領域、および前記ねじ軸(A)から最大径方向距離にあるこれらの点(P1,P4,P5)または領域よりも前記ねじ軸(A)からの径方向距離が小さい領域(P2,P3,P6)を有し、
さらに、前記予備形成領域,前記中間領域および前記固定領域に亘ってピッチが一定の連続するねじ山が設けられており、
前記予備形成領域(301)、前記中間領域(302)および前記固定領域(303)は、前記予備形成領域(301)が完全にねじ込まれた後、前記ねじ(3)がその固定領域(303)に至るまでねじ込まれるまで、前記予備形成領域(301)をねじ込む間に生じるトルクの増加に対して、ねじ込みに必要なトルクに増加が生じないかあるいは必要なトルクがほんのわずか増加するように設計されていることを特徴とするねじ山形成ねじ。 - 前記予備形成領域における前記ねじシャンク(30)は、一定直径の曲線として設計されている、請求項1に記載のねじ山形成ねじ(3)。
- 前記ねじシャンク(30)の芯径(CD)は、前記中間領域(302)において前記中間領域(302)に隣接する前記予備形成領域(301)の部分の芯径よりも小さく、
前記固定領域(303)のうち、外径(OD)が前記中間領域(302)に隣接する前記予備形成領域(301)の部分の外径と同一またはほぼ同一あるいは前記中間領域(302)に隣接する前記予備形成領域(301)の部分の外径よりも大きい部分において、
前記ねじシャンク(30)の芯径(CD)は、
前記中間領域(302)に隣接する前記予備形成領域(301)の部分の芯径(CD)と同一またはほぼ同一あるいは前記中間領域(302)に隣接する前記予備形成領域(301)の部分の芯径よりも大きい、請求項1または2に記載のねじ山形成ねじ(3)。 - 例えばチタンまたはチタン合金である生体適合性材料あるいは生体再吸収性材料から製造される、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項に記載のねじ山形成ねじ。
