Claims (2)
- 液晶ディスプレイを形成する方法であって、
青色発光体ピーク波長と、緑色発光体ピーク波長と、赤色発光体ピーク波長とを測定する工程と、
観察色域を最大化し且つ軸外色シフトを最小化するように、前記青色発光体ピーク波長よりも短い波長である青色ピーク反射波長を有する青色光反射液晶層と、実質的に前記緑色発光体ピーク波長と等しい、又はそれよりも長い緑色ピーク反射波長を有する緑色光反射液晶層と、前記赤色発光体ピーク波長よりも長い波長である赤色ピーク反射波長を有する赤色光反射液晶層と、を備える双安定反射コレステリック液晶ディスプレイを組み立てる工程と、
を含む、液晶ディスプレイ形成方法。 - 双安定反射コレステリック液晶ディスプレイであって、
青色ピーク反射波長を有する青色光反射液晶層と、
緑色ピーク反射波長を有する緑色光反射液晶層と、
赤色ピーク反射波長を有する赤色光反射液晶層と、
を備え、前記液晶ディスプレイが、青色発光体ピーク波長と、緑色発光体ピーク波長と、赤色発光体ピーク波長と、を有する発光体によって照射されるように構成され、観察色域を最大化し且つ軸外色シフトを最小化するように、前記青色光反射液晶層の青色ピーク反射波長が、前記青色発光体ピーク波長よりも短い波長であり、前記緑色光反射液晶層の緑色ピーク反射波長が、実質的に前記緑色発光体ピーク波長と等しい、又はそれよりも長く、前記赤色光反射液晶層の赤色ピーク反射波長が、前記赤色発光体ピーク波長を超える長さの波長である、液晶ディスプレイ。
