Description
従来のスイッチング型DC/DCコンバータでは、出力電圧でスイッチング素子を制御しているため、出力電圧が低い場合(たとえば起動時)には、2つのスイッチング素子を制御する電圧も低くなる。このとき、スイッチング素子のオン抵抗が大きくなるためスイッチング素子での損失が大きくなり、DC/DCコンバータ全体として変換効率が低下してしまう。そこで、本発明の昇圧型DC/DCコンバータでは、2つのスイッチング素子を制御する制御電圧を、起動後に所定のタイミングで切り替える。具体的には、起動時には、出力電圧とは別の電圧を制御電圧とし、所定のタイミングで、出力電圧に、切り替える。別の電圧としては、起動時に出力電圧より高い電圧であればよいが、ここではDC/DCコンバータに含まれる入力電源の電源電圧を用いる。こうして、スイッチング素子のオン抵抗を低い状態に制御することにより、スイッチング素子での損失を抑え、高効率な電力変換が得られる。
Claims (1)
- 負極がアースに接続される直流電源と、
前記直流電源の正極に接続されるインダクタと、
前記インダクタとアースの間に接続される第1のスイッチング素子と、
前記インダクタと平滑コンデンサの間に直列に接続される第2のスイッチング素子と、
前記第2のスイッチング素子とアースの間に接続される前記平滑コンデンサと、
前記第1及び第2のスイッチング素子のコントロール制御部に印加する電圧レベルを、起動時は、前記直流電源の電圧に設定し、その後で、前記平滑コンデンサの出力電圧に切り替える切替回路と、
前記切替回路に、前記電圧レベルの電圧を所定の周期で前記第1及び第2のスイッチング素子のコントロール制御部に印加させる制御部と
を備える昇圧型DC/DCコンバータであって、
前記切替回路は、前記第1のスイッチング素子と前記第2のスイッチング素子を制御する電圧レベルを、前記昇圧型DC/DCコンバータの発生する起動完了信号を入力するまでは前記直流電源の電圧に設定し、前記起動完了信号を入力した後は前記出力電圧に切り替え、
前記起動完了信号は前記平滑コンデンサの出力電圧が前記直流電源の電圧より高いときに生成される
ことを特徴とする
