Claims (7)
- 内燃機関の排気通路に配置されて粒子状物質を捕集するフィルタと、
そのフィルタに堆積した粒子状物質が燃焼する際に過昇温が発生することを抑制する過昇温抑制手段と、を備え、
その過昇温抑制手段は、
排気の流量を増加させる第1抑制手段と、
排気中の酸素濃度を低減させる第2抑制手段と、
第1抑制手段による排気の流量を増加が実行されたとした場合の、排気の流量を予測する第1予測手段と、
第1抑制手段による排気の流量を増加が実行されたとした場合の、排気中の酸素濃度を予測する第2予測手段と、
それら第1予測手段と第2予測手段とにより予測された排気の流量と排気中の酸素濃度との予測値の組を用いて、第1抑制手段と第2抑制手段とのいずれを実行するかを選択する選択手段と、
を備えたことを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記選択手段は、第1抑制手段による排気の流量の増加が実行されたとした場合の、前記排気の流量の予測値が、前記排気中の酸素濃度の予測値における過昇温が発生しない排気の流量の下限値よりも大きいときに、第1抑制手段を選択する請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記選択手段は、第1抑制手段による排気の流量の増加が実行されたとした場合の、前記排気中の酸素濃度の予測値が、前記排気の流量の予測値における過昇温が発生しない排気中の酸素濃度の上限値よりも小さいときに、第1抑制手段を選択する請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記選択手段は、内燃機関の回転数、負荷、燃料噴射量、大気圧のうちの少なくとも1つを用いて、前記排気の流量の予測値と、前記排気中の酸素濃度の予測値とを算出する算出手段を備えた請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記排気の流量の下限値は、前記フィルタにおける粒子状物質の堆積量と、前記フィルタの温度とに応じて算出される請求項2に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記排気中の酸素濃度の上限値は、前記フィルタにおける粒子状物質の堆積量と、前記フィルタの温度とに応じて算出される請求項3に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記排気中の酸素濃度は、前記フィルタよりも上流における排気中の酸素濃度である請求項1乃至6のいずれか1項に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
