Description
図2に示すシール試験機によりしゅう動特性を評価した。同図において固定側試験片1は、液槽2の底部中央に取り付けられ、回転側試験片3は回転軸4に固定する。両試験片(リング形状)の中央部は、液槽2とつながっており、純水が封入されている。両試験片は、装置上部の錘5によって密着しており、回転リングは周速7.1m/s(6050rpm)で回転する。

Claims (6)
- 回転リングと固定リングの少なくとも何れか一方が、自己潤滑物質を分散した硬質材料によって形成され、且つ、しゅう動面にはマイクロピットが形成されているメカニカルシールリングであって、
前記しゅう動面に形成されたマイクロピットは、実質的に気孔を含まない自己潤滑物質を分散した硬質材料の鏡面仕上げのみによって形成されたものであって、直径が5μm以上30μm以下で、深さ/直径比が0.01以上0.3以下の凹レンズ状であって、且つ、均一に分散されているメカニカルシールリング。 - 鏡面仕上げが硬質砥粒によるラップ加工であって、凹レンズ状のマイクロピットは、硬質材料に分散された自己潤滑物質が選択的に摩耗して得られたものである請求項1に記載のメカニカルシールリング。
- 硬質材料は、炭化物、窒化物、および酸化物の中の少なくとも1種からなるセラミックスである請求項1に記載のメカニカルシールリング。
- 硬質材料は、炭化タングステンを基とし、TiCあるいはTaCを合計で1質量%以上30質量%以下含み、且つ、金属バインダを実質的に含まないバインダレス超硬合金である請求項1に記載のメカニカルシールリング。
- 硬質材料は、CoあるいはNiからなる結合層を1質量%以上30質量%以下含む超硬合金である請求項1に記載のメカニカルシールリング。
- 自己潤滑物質は黒鉛、窒化ホウ素、二硫化タングステン、および二硫化モリブデンの中の少なくとも1種からなる請求項1に記載のメカニカルシールリング。
