Description
継手本体2は、一端側から奥側に向って拡径された受口21(長さL1)と、この受口21に隣接し、途中から段差が形成された中間部22(長さL2)と、その終端部側に形成された円環状の突出部23と、相手部材(不図示)と接合するために、他端側に形成されたおねじ部24を有する。突出部23は、継手本体2の外周側からその内周側に通ずる貫通穴230を有し、そこに挿入確認部材3が挿入される。
挿入確認部材3は、上記貫通穴230に装着される押ボタン31と、その途中に嵌装されるストップリング32(図1参照)及び止め輪33を含む。押ボタン31は、頭部310と、その下側に仕切溝311を介して形成された識別部312と、ストップリング32が嵌装される円周溝313と、止め輪33(例えばC字形ワッシャー)が嵌装される円周溝314と、小径部315と、逆円錐台状の先端部316を有する(図4参照)。ストップリング32はバネ鋼などの線材をC字形に丸めて拡縮径可能に形成されたリング状の部材で、縮径した際には円周溝313内に完全に収まることができる。識別部312には、所定範囲(高さhの部分)だけ、この押ボタン31が最後まで押し込まれたときに、貫通穴230に入り込む(突出部23で隠蔽される)ので、頭部310(例えば黒色)と異なる色相(例えば赤色)に着色されている。
上記の押ボタン31は、貫通穴230に装着されると、拡径されたストップリング32により、係止溝231に係止されてその位置(図1参照)で継手本体2に保持される。

Claims (3)
- 一端側から接続管が挿入される受口を有する継手本体と、前記接続管が所定長さだけ挿入されたときに前記継手本体の内周面と前記接続管の外周面で圧縮されるシール部材と、前記接続管が所定長さだけ挿入されたときに前記接続管の先端で前記シール部材から離間する位置に押し込まれる保護スリーブと、前記継手本体にその内周側に向って移動可能に支持される挿入確認部材とを備え、前記保護スリーブは、前記挿入確認部材が押し込まれたときにその先端部を受取る保持部を有する管継手であって、
前記挿入確認部材は、前記保護スリーブに向って先細りに形成された先端部を有するとともに、前記保持部は前記先端部を受取る環状溝であることを特徴とする管継手。 - 前記挿入確認部材はその先端部が前記保持部に押し込まれたときに前記継手本体で隠蔽される着色部を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の管継手。
- 前記受口に、前記接続管が所定長さだけ挿入されたときに前記接続管に押圧されるエッジ部を有する抜止部材が装着されるとともに、前記接続管が前記継手本体に所定長さだけ挿入されたときに、前記抜止部材を介して前記シール部材を付勢する弾性部材を有することを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の管継手。
