Claims (1)
- 被検体に挿入される内視鏡の挿入部の内部に複数の磁界発生素子及び複数の磁界検出素子の一方の素子を配置し、被検体の外部に他方の素子を配置して、前記挿入部の内部に配置された一方の素子の各位置を前記他方の素子の位置を基準に用いて検出する検出手段と、
前記検出手段を制御すると共に、前記検出手段の検出結果に基づき、内視鏡挿入部の形状を推定する形状推定手段と、
前記形状推定手段が推定した前記内視鏡挿入部の形状のモデル画像を生成するモデル画像生成手段と、
所定の条件が生じた際、前記モデル画像生成手段が生成する前記モデル画像を表示手段に自動的に表示するよう制御する画像表示制御手段と、
を具備し、
前記画像表示制御手段は、前記形状推定手段により推定された内視鏡挿入部の形状に基づいて前記内視鏡挿入部が被検体に挿入され当該挿入に係る支援が必要な状態と判断した場合に、前記モデル画像を自動的に前記表示手段に表示するよう制御する
ことを特徴とする内視鏡形状検出装置。
