Claims (7)
- コアと、そのコアの周囲に複数の空孔部を有するクラッドとを備え、前記空孔部の端部に硬化性樹脂を充填して封止部を形成した光ファイバにおいて、
前記光ファイバを伝搬する光の波長は1550nmであり、
前記コアのコア径は9μmであり、前記光ファイバの中心から前記空孔部の中心までの距離は12μmであり、前記空孔部の径は8.5〜13μmであり、
前記コアの屈折率と前記クラッドの屈折率との比屈折率差が0.3〜0.4%であり、
前記封止部を形成する硬化性樹脂の硬化後の充填長が7〜8mmであり、
前記封止部の屈折率と前記クラッドの屈折率との比屈折率差が0.4%以下であり、
前記硬化性樹脂の硬化後の透湿率が0.5g/cm2・24h以下であることを特徴とする光ファイバ。 - 前記硬化性樹脂は、ガラスとの接着強度が5MPa以上で、かつ硬化後の硬さがショアDで50以上である請求項1に記載の光ファイバ。
- 前記硬化性樹脂は、硬化による体積収縮率が5%以下で、かつ硬化前の25℃での粘度が5Pa・s以下である請求項1または2に記載の光ファイバ。
- 前記硬化性樹脂は、紫外線硬化樹脂、常温硬化性樹脂または熱硬化性樹脂である請求項1〜3いずれかに記載の光ファイバ。
- 請求項1〜4いずれかに記載の光ファイバの端面に、前記光ファイバとは別の光ファイバを突き合わせ接続したことを特徴とする光ファイバの接続構造。
- 前記光ファイバの端面に、屈折率整合剤を介して前記別の光ファイバを突き合わせ接続した請求項5に記載の光ファイバの接続構造。
- 請求項1〜4いずれかに記載の光ファイバをフェルールに装着したことを特徴とする光コネクタ。
