Description
本発明による低硫黄軽質炭化水素油の製造方法において、軽質炭化水素油は、重質油熱分解装置から得られる炭化水素油であることが好ましく。また、軽質炭化水素油は、炭化水素化合物として、ジエン類を含むものの方が本発明の効果が顕著に得られる。さらには、吸着剤がフォージャサイト型ゼオライトであることが好ましい。また、吸着剤に通油する際に前処理せず、軽質炭化水素を、直接、吸着剤に通油することが好ましい。
好適に適用できる軽質炭化水素油は、具体的には、LPG留分、軽質なガソリン留分であり、炭素数が3〜10の炭化水素を主成分とするものである。LPG留分は、プロパン、プロピレン、ブタン、ブチレン、ブタジエンなどを主成分とする燃料ガスおよび工業用原料ガスである。通常は、球状タンクにて、常温、加圧下に液相状態で貯蔵されるか、あるいは大気圧に近い状態にて液相で低温貯蔵される。
また、軽質なガソリン留分は、いわゆる製油所などで生産されるガソリン留分やナフサ留分に相当する基材である。ガソリンは、一般的には、炭素数3〜11程度の炭化水素を主体とし、密度(15℃)は0.783g/cm3以下、沸点範囲は30〜220℃程度である。また、炭素数3〜7程度の軽質なガソリン留分、ナフサ留分でも構わない。
尚、吸着剤は水分などが吸着していない活性の高いものが使用される。しかし、通油開始の際は、吸着剤の発熱を防ぐために、通油開始前に窒素と低硫黄LPGガスの混合ガスを通油するなどの吸着剤が充填された吸着槽の前処理を行わず、直接吸着剤層に軽質炭化水素油の通油を行うことが寿命を長くすることができ望ましい。
硫黄、窒素、パラフィン類、オレフィン類などの各濃度は、ディレードコーカ装置の原料の変化により変動している。硫黄化合物に関しては、炭素数4以上のメルカプタン類、炭素数5以上のジスルフィド類、炭素数5以上のスルフィド類、チオフェン類は実質的に含まれておらず、検出下限以下であった。各硫黄化合物の硫黄分は化学発光検出器付きガスクロマトグラフィー法により測定した。
このようにして調製した軽質炭化水素油を、長さ0.3m、内容積26mLに充填した吸着剤の層に、圧力0.25MPaG、25℃にて、線速度0.7m/時(滞留時間:25分)で液相状態にて長さ方向に通油した。
吸着剤として、成型されたフォージャサイト型ゼオライトNaX型(合成ゼオライト、F−9、粒状(和光純薬工業(株)))を用いた。
通油開始以降におけるカラム出口での炭化水素油中の硫黄濃度変化を図2に示す。12時間付近で出口の硫黄濃度は10ppmを超えた。そのときの出口での主な硫黄化合物は、メチルノルマルブチルジスルフィド、ジノルマルブチルジスルフィドなどであり、これらの化合物は、ノルマルブタンチオールが反応した化合物であると考えられる。また、ジメチルジスルフィド(DMDS)が、単独で10ppmを超えた時間は、約16時間後である。したがって、重質なノルマルブタンチオールが含まれることにより、出口の硫黄濃度が、10ppmに達する時間が短くなることがわかる。なお、この通油時間内において、窒素濃度は1ppm以下であった。
出口濃度/入口濃度=50%となった時間と平均硫黄濃度から求めた吸着容量は、33gS/kg-adsであった(adsは、吸着剤を示す)。一方、実施例1では24gS/kg-adsであった。以上のことから、初期処理をおこなわず、直接LPG留分を液相にて通油することにより、吸着剤の寿命を長くすることができる。
Claims (2)
- ジエン類及びジスルフィド類を含みかつ炭素数4以上のメルカプタン類の濃度が10ppm以下である重質油の熱分解装置から得られるLPG留分を、フォージャサイト型ゼオライトNaX型吸着剤で、液相で処理することによって前記LPG留分の硫黄分を10ppm以下に除去することを特徴とする低硫黄軽質炭化水素油の製造方法。
- LPG留分の硫黄分を1ppm以下に除去することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の低硫黄軽質炭化水素油の製造方法。
