エネルギーを下げることが可能となる。

St(Sx)=2.8P/(π×d×d)
St(Sx)は破壊強度(Pa)を表し、Pは試験の際の力(N)を表し、dは粒子の平均粒径(mm)を表す。なお、平均粒径dは、例えばレーザ回折式粒度分布測定装置により測定することができる。
図1、2に示した円筒型の二次電池を作製した。まず、炭酸リチウム(Li2CO3)と炭酸コバルト(CoCO3)とを、Li2CO3:CoCO3=0.5:1のモル比で混合し、空気中において900℃で5時間焼成してリチウム・コバルト複合酸化物(LiCoO2)を得た。得られたLiCoO2についてX線回折を行ったところ、JCPDS(Joint Committee of Powder Diffraction Standard)ファイルに登録されたLiCoO2のピークとよく一致していた。次いで、このリチウム・コバルト複合酸化物を粉砕して、レーザ回折法で得られる累積50%粒径が15μmの粉末状とし、正極活物質とした。
環状カーボネートの炭酸エチレン(EC)と、炭酸プロピレン(PC)量は変えずに、ハロゲン化環状カーボネートであるフルオロエチレンカーボネート(FEC)の量を変化させたことを除き、他は比較例1−1と同様にして二次電池を作製した。作製した実施例2−1、2−2および比較例2−1〜2−12の二次電池について、比較例1−1と同様にして電池容量、初期充放電効率およびサイクル特性を調べた。その結果を表2に示す。なお、電池容量は比較例1−1の値を100とした相対値で表している。
負極活物質層22Bの片面における厚み60μmとし、ハロゲン化環状カーボネートであるフルオロエチレンカーボネート(FEC)の量を変化させたことを除き、他は実施例1−1と同様にして二次電池を作製し、評価した。作製した比較例3−1〜3−8の二次電池について、比較例1−1と同様にして電池容量、初期充放電効率およびサイクル特性を調べた。その結果を表3に示す。なお、電池容量は比較例1−1の値を100とした相対値で表している。
負極活物質層22Bの片面における厚みを後出の表4に示したように70μmから120μmの範囲で変化させたことを除き、他は実施例1−3と同様にして二次電池を作製した。具体的には、比較例4−1Aでは、負極活物質層22Bの片面における厚みを70μmとし、実施例4−2では、負極活物質層22Bの片面における厚みを100μmとし、実施例4−3では、負極活物質層22Bの片面における厚みを120μmとした。
Claims (4)
- 前記炭素材料は、X線回折におけるC軸方向の格子面間隔d002が0.335nm以上0.338nm未満である黒鉛を有することを特徴とする請求項1記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
- 前記式(1)で示される環状カーボネートは炭酸プロピレンを含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
- 前記式(1)で示される環状カーボネートは炭酸エチレンを含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
