Description
Claims (20)
- エンジンと、
前記エンジンに通じる流入口と、
前記流入口の上流に配置された第1給気クーラと、
前記第1給気クーラの上流に配置された第2クーラと、
前記第1給気クーラの上流の前記第2クーラを迂回するためのバイパスラインと、
前記第2クーラおよび前記バイパスラインを通る流入空気の流れを調節するバルブ装置と、
流入空気の露点に関するデータを検知し、該データに関する信号を受けて前記バルブ装置を制御する制御装置に該信号を送るセンサを含むセンサ装置と、
を含むことを特徴とする給気クーラ装置を備えるエンジン。 - 前記流入口と連通状態にあるEGR回路を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の給気クーラ装置を備えるエンジン。
- 前記バルブ装置が、前記バイパスラインを通る流れを遮断するように成っていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の給気クーラ装置を備えるエンジン。
- 前記バルブ装置が、前記第2クーラを通る流れを遮断するように成っていることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の給気クーラ装置を備えるエンジン。
- 前記バルブ装置が、前記第2クーラを通る流れを遮断するように成っていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の給気クーラ装置を備えるエンジン。
- 前記バルブ装置が、前記第2クーラと前記バイパスラインの両方を通る流れを許容するように成っていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の給気クーラ装置を備えるエンジン。
- 前記第1給気クーラの下流の温度を監視し、該温度に関する信号に応じて前記バルブ装置を制御する制御装置に該信号を送る温度センサを、前記センサ装置が含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の給気クーラ装置を備えるエンジン。
- 前記第1給気クーラの下流の温度が前記流入空気の露点を下回っているとの信号を受けて、前記第2クーラを通る流れが減少して前記バイパスラインにおける流れが増加するように前記バルブ装置を調節するべく、前記制御装置が構成されることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の給気クーラ装置を備えるエンジン。
- 前記流入口と連通状態にあるEGR回路を含み、該EGR回路が、EGRバルブを開閉する前記センサ装置からの信号を受けるEGRバルブを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の給気クーラ装置を備えるエンジン。
- 前記第1給気クーラの下流の温度を監視して、該温度に関する信号を受けて前記バルブ装置を制御する制御装置へ該信号を送る温度センサを備えたセンサ装置を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の給気クーラ装置を備えるエンジン。
- 前記第2クーラが給気クーラであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の給気クーラ装置を備えるエンジン。
- 前記第2クーラが、二段ターボチャージャシステムの第1ターボチャージャの下流かつ第2ターボチャージャの上流の中間クーラであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の給気クーラ装置を備えるエンジン。
- エンジン流入口の上流に配置された第1給気クーラと、
前記第1給気クーラの上流に配置された第2クーラと、
前記第2クーラを迂回するためのバイパスラインであって、前記第1給気クーラの上流に下流端部が配置されたバイパスラインと、
前記第2クーラおよび前記バイパスラインを通る流入空気の流れを調節するバルブ装置と、
流入空気の露点についてのデータを検知し、該データに関する信号を受けて前記バルブ装置を制御する制御装置へ該信号を送るセンサを含むセンサ装置と、
を含むことを特徴とする給気クーラ装置。 - 前記センサ装置が、前記第1給気クーラの下流の温度を監視し、該温度に関する信号を受けて前記バルブ装置を制御する前記制御装置へ該信号を送る温度センサを含むことを特徴とする請求項13に記載の給気クーラ装置。
- 前記第1給気クーラの下流の温度が前記流入空気の露点を下回っているとの信号を受けて、前記第2クーラを通る流れが減少して前記バイパスラインを通る流れが増加するように前記バルブ装置を調節するべく、前記制御装置が構成されることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の給気クーラ装置。
- 前記第1給気クーラの下流の温度を監視し、該温度に関する信号を受けて前記バルブ装置を制御する制御装置へ該信号を送る温度センサを備えたセンサ装置を含むことを特徴とする請求項13に記載の給気クーラ装置。
- 給気冷却を行うエンジンの結露を軽減する方法であって、
第2クーラの下流の第1給気クーラと、該第2クーラを迂回するために配置されたバイパスラインとに流入空気を流通させることと、
前記第2クーラおよび前記バイパスラインを通る流入空気の流量を調節することにより前記第1給気クーラの下流の流入空気温度を調節することと、
流入空気温度を監視して、前記第2クーラおよび前記バイパスラインを通る流入空気の流量を流入空気温度と相関させて調節することと、
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記第1給気クーラの上流で流入空気温度が監視されることを特徴とする請求項17に記載の給気冷却を行うエンジンの結露を軽減する方法。
- 前記第1給気クーラの下流で流入空気温度が監視されることを特徴とする請求項17に記載の給気冷却を行うエンジンの結露を軽減する方法。
- 前記第1給気クーラの上流で空気温度が監視されることを特徴とする請求項17に記載の給気冷却を行うエンジンの結露を軽減する方法。
