Description
Claims (7)
- 過給燃焼機関(2)の排ガスの循環のための装置であって、該装置が、過給燃焼機関(2)からの排ガスを導くための排気管(4)と、空気を該過給燃焼機関(2)に導くための入口管(8)と、該排気管(4)と該入口管(8)に連結された戻り管(11)であって、該戻り管(11)を介して排ガスを循環排ガスとして前記排気管(4)から前記入口管(8)に循環することが可能にされた戻り管(11)と、該戻り管(11)に接続され、前記循環排ガスの量を制御するEGR弁(12)と、前記過給燃焼機関(2)の作動状態についての情報に基づき該EGR弁(12)を制御する制御装置(13)と、前記循環排ガスを周辺温度の空気によって冷却する、空冷式EGR冷却器(15)と、該空冷式EGR冷却器(15)をバイパスするバイパス管(11a)と、前記循環排ガスが前記空冷式EGR冷却器(15)に通される第1位置と、該排循環ガスが前記バイパス管(11a)に通され該空冷式EGR冷却器(15)をバイパスする第2位置との間で切り替えられる弁装置(24)とを有しており、前記制御装置(13)は、前記EGR弁(12)を制御して前記戻り管(11)を通る前記循環ガスの量を制御すると共に、前記過給燃焼機関(2)の作動状態についての情報が前記空冷式EGR冷却器(15)を凍結させるおそれを示す場合は、前記弁装置(24)を前記第2の位置に切り替えるようになっている装置において、前記過給燃焼機関(2)の作動状態についての情報が前記空冷式EGR冷却器(15)の凍結のおそれを示すものであっても、前記EGR弁(12)を通る前記循環ガスの量が多い場合には、前記制御手段(13)は、前記弁装置(24)を第1の位置に保持させることを特徴とする装置。
- 前記装置が、周辺空気の温度を検知するための温度センサ(25)を有し、前記制御装置(13)が、前記空冷式EGR冷却器(15)での凍結のおそれを決定するのに前記温度センサからの情報を用いるようにされていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記制御装置(13)は、前記空冷式EGR冷却器(15)を通る周辺空気の流速に関連するパラメータの知識を利用するようにされていることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記装置が、前記空冷式EGR冷却器(15)の上流側で前記戻り管(11)に接続され、前記循環ガスを冷却する、前記過給燃焼機関を循環する冷却材で冷却される冷却材冷却式のEGR冷却器(14)を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記空冷式EGR冷却器(15)が、前記循環排ガスを受容する第1タンク(15a)と、該循環排ガスを通過させ、該循環排ガスを周辺空気によって冷却させる冷却部(15b)と、該冷却部(15b)で冷却された後に該循環排ガスを受容する第2タンク(15c)とを有していることを特徴とする、請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記弁装置(24)が、前記第1タンク(15a)に配置され、前記バイパス管(11a)が、前記第1タンク(15a)と前記第2タンク(15c)間を延びていることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の装置。
- 前記バイパス管(11a)が、前記EGR冷却器(15)と一体をなしていることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の装置。
