Description
本発明は、良好な経皮薬物送達における進歩を提供する。本発明は自動的かつ本質的に制御された又は限定された量を供給し、送達速度を制御する、治療剤の経皮送達のための自己制御性の着用可能なイオントフォーレシスシステムを提供する。着用可能なイオントフォーレシスシステムは好ましくは、自動接着性の低アレルギー誘発性接着層を包含する又は適所にテープで接着することができる、接着貼付される皮膚パッチの形状である。
図面において、図面を通して同様な部分を指示するために同様な番号を用いる。
本発明の詳細な説明は、進歩した経皮薬物送達システムの原理を例示する。非常に限定された数の実施例形態及び物質組成(送達される治療剤を含む)を用いることによって、実施態様を説明する。しかし、本発明の概念によって包含される原理の適用がはるかにより広範囲であり、実際に、非常に多数の導体、ガルバーニ電気対(galvanic couple)(酸化可能な種及び還元可能な種)、送達されるべき治療剤並びに着用可能なパッチの実際の形態が可能であると考えられる。したがって、本明細書に記載した原理及び説明は例としてのみ意図され、如何なる意味でも本発明の範囲を限定することにはならない。
Claims (21)
- 治療剤を送達するための平面的で着用可能な使い捨て経皮イオントフォーレシスシステムであって、
(a)第1送達室と;
(b)第2送達室と;
(c)前記第1送達室と第2送達室とに相互に排他的にそれぞれ含まれる酸化可能な種及び還元可能な種と;
(d)前記酸化可能な種及び前記還元可能な種を電気的に連結し、両者の間の直流電流の通過を可能にする共通電導体とを含み、
前記酸化可能な種及び前記還元可能な種の少なくとも1つを、前記治療剤を所望の量送達するのに必要なクーロン容量に対応する量含ませ、これにより、自己制御的に過剰な量の治療剤の送達を防止することができる、前記システム。 - 前記酸化可能な種と前記還元可能な種とから成る群から選択される1種類の種を他の種に比べて少ない量で供給して、送達システムに一定クーロン容量を与える、請求項1に記載の送達システム。
- 前記直流電流の通過を遮断するためのスイッチ手段をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の送達システム。
- 前記酸化可能な種と前記還元可能な種とが共通の導電性基板上の被膜として保持される、請求項1に記載の送達システム。
- 前記酸化可能な種がMg及びZnから選択され、前記還元可能な種がAgClである、請求項4に記載の送達システム。
- 前記導電性基板がワイヤである、請求項4に記載の送達システム。
- 前記導電性基板が銀ワイヤである、請求項5に記載の送達システム。
- 前記送達室の各々が室キャビティ中に流体を保持するためにある一定量の親水性吸収物質を備える、請求項1に記載の送達システム。
- 前記親水性吸収物質がコットン、ガーゼ及び親水性ゲルから選択される、請求項8に記載の送達システム。
- 親水性吸収物質の表面を覆って、それを定位置に維持する、薬物分子の移動に対して透過性の電流分配層をさらに含む、請求項8に記載の送達システム。
- 親水性吸収物質の表面を覆って、それを定位置に維持する、薬物分子の通過に対して透過性の電流分配層をさらに含む、請求項9に記載の送達システム。
- 前記送達室の各々が薬物含有流体を入れるための流入口を備える、請求項1に記載の送達システム。
- 前記送達システムを患者の皮膚に接着するための手段をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の送達システム。
- 前記送達システムを患者の皮膚に接着し、前記親水性物質を前記室中に保持するための接着層をさらに含む、請求項8に記載の送達システム。
- 平面的な使い捨て二室経皮イオントフォーレシス送達システムであって、
(a)システムの唯一の電源として役立つガルバーニ電池を形成するために、前記システムの別々の室に排他的に含有され、共通電導体上に含有された酸化可能な種及び還元可能な種と、
(b)前記室の少なくとも一方における前記ガルバーニ電池の使用によってのみ患者の皮膚を通して経皮的に駆動されるある一定量の少なくとも1種類の治療剤とを含み、
前記酸化可能な種と前記還元可能な種の少なくとも1つを、前記治療剤を所望の量送達するのに必要なクーロン容量に対応する量含ませ、これにより、自己制御的に過剰な量の治療剤の送達を防止することができる、前記送達システム。 - 平面的で着用可能な使い捨て経皮イオントフォーレシス送達システムを製造する方法において、
(a)目的の治療剤を所望の量送達するのに必要なクーロン容量を特定する工程と、
(b)(i)第1送達室と接触する酸化可能な種;
(ii)第2送達室と接触する還元可能な種;及び
(iii)前記酸化可能な種と前記還元可能な種とを連結し、両者の間の直流電流の通過を可能にする共通電導体、を含む経皮イオントフォーレシスシステムを作成する工程であって、
前記酸化可能な種と前記還元可能な種とを、相互に排他的にそれぞれ前記第1送達室と第2送達室とに含ませ、
前記酸化可能な種と前記還元可能な種の少なくとも1つを、前記特定されたクーロン容量を供給する量含ませる、前記方法。 - 前記酸化可能な種及び前記還元可能な種の少なくとも1つを導電性基体の表面に付着する工程を含む、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記還元可能な種を導電性基体の表面に形成する工程を含む、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記還元可能な種を電解プロセス又は電気めっきプロセスによって導電性基体の表面に形成する工程を含む、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記導電性基体を溶融金属浴に浸漬することによって前記酸化可能な種を付着する、請求項17に記載の方法。
- 前記溶融金属が、亜鉛及びマグネシウムから選択される金属を含む、請求項20に記載の方法。
