Description
Claims (5)
- 内燃機関の排気系に設けられるNOx吸蔵還元型の触媒と、
少なくとも前記触媒の下流側に設けられ排気中の酸素濃度を検出する酸素濃度センサとを備え、
前記触媒に吸蔵されたNOxを還元除去するために、空燃比を一時的にリッチ側に制御してリッチパージ制御を行う一方、該リッチパージの実行時に前記酸素濃度センサの検出結果から算出したNOx還元の所要時間に基づいて前記触媒の浄化能力低下を判定する内燃機関の排気浄化装置において、
前記触媒の状態を示すパラメータとして当該触媒の吸蔵NOx量を用い、該吸蔵NOx量が少ないほど前記リッチパージ実行時における空燃比のリッチ度合を小さくすることにより、前記酸素濃度センサの応答遅れによる影響が過分とならない範囲内で前記NOx還元の所要時間を延長する変更手段を備えたことを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記変更手段は、前記吸蔵NOx量が所定量以上である場合に空燃比のリッチ度合を変更しないことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記変更手段は、以前のリッチパージ実行時に算出した吸蔵NOx量を参照し、該吸蔵NOx量に応じて前記空燃比のリッチ度合を変更することを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記排気系に流れる排気流量を取得する取得手段を備え、
前記変更手段は、前記取得手段により取得した排気流量をパラメータとして加えて前記空燃比のリッチ度合を変更することを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記内燃機関の運転履歴から前記触媒の状態を推定する手段を備え、
前記変更手段は、前記推定した結果に応じて前記空燃比のリッチ度合を変更することを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれかに記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
