画質制御回路108は、SD/S−HD信号とオリジナルHD信号用の、図6に示されるような2つの色補正設定値のテーブルを有している。そして、画質制御回路108は受信DTV信号がSD信号またはS−HD信号と判別した場合は、図6の(1)のテーブルを選択して、上記第1の制御信号として、該(1)のテーブルに対応する色相範囲、色相補正量及び彩度補正量を色差補正回路110に出力する。色差補正回路110は、上記数1で求めた色相信号Hのうち、画質制御回路108から入力されたH-range1、H-range2、及びH-range3の各色相範囲内にある色相信号Hについて、それぞれ対応する色相補正量αS1、αS2、αS3を加算する。例えばH-range1の色相範囲にある色相信号Hに対して色相補正量αS1が加算される。H-range2及び3についても同様である。これにより、指定された色相範囲の色合いが補正される。更に、色差補正回路110は、上記数1で求めた彩度信号Sのうち、画質制御回路108から入力されたH-range1、H-range2、及びH-range3の各色相範囲内にある彩度信号Sについて、それぞれ対応する彩度補正量βS1、βS2、βS3を乗算する。例えばH-range1の色相範囲にある彩度信号Sに対して彩度補正量βS1が乗算される。H-range2及び3についても同様である。これにより、指定された色相範囲の色の濃淡が補正される。
Claims (4)
- 映像表示装置において、
入力された映像信号が、SD素材をHDフォーマットにアップコンバートして得られた第1HD信号か、HD素材に基づく第2HD信号かを判別する判別部と、映像信号の色補正を行う色補正部と、前記該判別部での判別結果に応じて前記色補正部を制御する制御部と、を備え、
前記判別部は、入力された映像信号のクロスカラー成分を検出するクロスカラー検出部を含み、該クロスカラー検出部の検出結果を用いて、前記第1HD信号か前記第2HD信号かの判別を行うことを特徴とする映像表示装置。 - 請求項1に記載の映像表示装置において、前記第1及び第2HD信号は、総走査線数が1125本のデジタルテレビジョン放送信号であることを特徴とする映像表示装置。
- 請求項1に記載の映像表示装置において、前記SD素材の信号は、総走査線数が525本の信号であり、前記第1HD信号は、総走査線数525本のSD素材の信号を総走査線数1125本にアップコンバートされた信号であることを特徴とする映像表示装置。
- 請求項1に記載の映像表示装置において、前記色補正部は、前記判別部において入力映像信号が第1HD信号と判別されたときは、SD素材の信号に対応する第1の色設定値を用いて色補正を行い、第2HD信号と判別されたときは、HD素材の信号の対応する第2の色設定値を用いて色補正を行うことを特徴とする映像表示装置。
