Claims (5)
- 有機EL素子と、
ゲート電極とソース電極とドレイン電極とを有し、前記ソース電極と前記ドレイン電極のうちの一方の電極に前記有機EL素子の一端が電気的に接続される駆動トランジスタと、
走査信号に応じて、前記駆動トランジスタの前記ゲート電極と前記駆動トランジスタの前記一方の電極とを短絡する第1スイッチングトランジスタと、
第1電極と第2電極を備え、前記第1電極に前記駆動トランジスタの前記ゲート電極が接続される容量素子と、を有する複数の画素と、
前記容量素子の前記第2電極に接続される信号線と、
輝度電位と該輝度電位の基準を示す基準電位とを前記信号線に供給する信号線駆動回路と、
前記駆動トランジスタの前記ソース電極と前記ドレイン電極のうちの前記他方の電極の電位を制御する電源供給回路と、
を備え、
前記有機EL素子において電流が流れ始める当該有機EL素子の第1閾値電圧V th,i−v と、前記有機EL素子において発光し始める当該有機EL素子の第2閾値電圧V th,L−v と、前記有機EL素子の静電容量値C OLED と、前記容量素子の容量値C s との間において、

前記駆動トランジスタの前記他方の電極に第2電位を与え、該第2電位によって前記駆動トランジスタをオン/オフ制御する第2電源供給回路と、を備え、前記第2電源供給回路が前記電源供給回路であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の画像表示装置。 - 駆動電位に応じて、前記有機EL素子の前記一端と前記駆動トランジスタの前記一方の電極との間の導通を制御する第2スイッチングトランジスタをさらに備えたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の画像表示装置。
- 前記第1電源供給回路は、前記第1電位を一定の電位として供給することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の画像表示装置。
- 前記第1電源供給回路および第2電源供給回路は、前記有機EL素子において電流が流れ且つ当該有機EL素子が発光しないように、前記第1電位と前記第2電位とを同電位に制御することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の画像表示装置。
