Description
Claims (20)
- 圧縮可能な流体を使用するロータリーエンジンであって、
第1軸の周りを回転するように取り付けられた第1回転部材と、
前記第1回転部材の少なくとも一部を囲む表面を有するケーシングと、
前記第1回転部材の表面と前記ケーシングの表面の間に形成され断面積が変化する細長い空所と、
各々の異なる第2軸の周りを回転するように取り付けられた複数の第2回転部材と
を備え、
各第2回転部材はケーシング表面のスロットから突出し第1回転部材と係合して、空所を隣接する複数の仕事室に分けるように設置され、
各第2の回転部材は、第2軸を基点に各々異なる半径を有する複数の突出部を備え、これら異なる半径は突出部に各々異なる量だけ空所に突出させ、これにより、第1回転部材および第2回転部材が回転するにつれて仕事室の容積が変化し、
使用時、閉鎖された空所としての仕事室内の流体が圧縮され、燃焼させられ、および膨張させられ、この閉鎖された空所は、圧縮、燃焼および膨張中に、隣接する2つの同様な第2の回転部材によって画定されている、
ロータリーエンジン。 - 第2回転部材の各突出部が各第2軸を基点にある角度を有し、前記各突出部の半径が前記軸を中心としてなだらかに変化している請求項1に記載のロータリーエンジン。
- 第2回転部材の各突出部が各第2軸を基点にある角度を有し、前記突出部の半径が前記軸を中心として段階的に変化している請求項1に記載のロータリーエンジン。
- 各第2回転部材のいくつかの突出部が、前記第1回転部材および前記第2回転部材が回転している間、適宜、各スロットから部分的にだけ突出する請求項3に記載のロータリーエンジン。
- 各第2軸についてのスロットが画成する角度が、各第2回転部材のいくつかの突出部が画成する角度より小さい請求項4に記載のロータリーエンジン。
- 前記第1回転部材表面は円筒状の表面である請求項1乃至5のいずれかに記載のロータリーエンジン。
- 前記第1回転部材がケーシング表面の内側にあり、前記第2回転部材がケーシング表面の外側にある請求項6に記載のロータリーエンジン。
- 前記第1回転部材が前記ケーシング表面の外側にあり、前記複数の第2回転部材が前記ケーシング表面の内側にある請求項6に記載のロータリーエンジン。
- 前記第1回転部材の表面が端面である請求項1乃至5のいずれかに記載のロータリーエンジン。
- 圧縮された流体が膨張する前に点火する点火手段を更に備える請求項1乃至9のいずれかに記載のロータリーエンジン。
- 前記第1回転部材が少なくとも1つの流入路および/または流出路を更に有する請求項1乃至10のいずれかに記載のロータリーエンジン。
- 前記ケーシングが複数のバルブを更に備えており、各バルブは前記空所仕事室に隣接した時のみ流入口または流出口として作動可能であり、かつ各バルブは前記装置のサイクル中一部分の間のみ空所仕事室に隣接する請求項1乃至11のいずれかに記載のロータリーエンジン。
- 前記バルブのそれぞれが、使用時、エンジンの1サイクルの間で最小の容積を有する空所仕事室には隣接せず、そのためバルブと最大圧力の流体間の接触を回避できる請求項12に記載のロータリーエンジン。
- 少なくとも1つのバルブが、空所仕事室に入る流体の流速を変え、空所仕事室内の流体圧力を変え、あるいは装置の圧縮比および/または膨張比を変えるように操作可能である請求項12または13に記載のロータリーエンジン。
- 閉ループ・フィードバック制御が少なくとも1つのバルブの動作を制御するために用いられ、前記閉ループ・フィードバック制御が少なくとも1つのエンジン動作パラメータに基づいている請求項12乃至14のいずれかに記載のロータリーエンジン。
- 前記少なくとも1つのエンジン動作パラメータは、流入口圧、流出口圧、および回転速度のうちの少なくとも1つである請求項15に記載のロータリーエンジン。
- 前記第2回転部材が前記第1回転部材の周りに配置され、各第2回転部材は前記第1軸に直交する各第2軸の周りを回転するように取り付けられる請求項1乃至請求項16のいずれかに記載のロータリーエンジン。
- 第1回転部材の表面と前記ケーシングの表面が、空所仕事室間のシールを更に形成する請求項1乃至請求項17のいずれかに記載のロータリーエンジン。
- 各々の第2の回転部材の前記空所への突出量が、使用時、増大して第1の最大値となり、次にゼロより大である最小値まで減少し、その次に増大して第2の最大値となり、その後減少してゼロとなる請求項1乃至請求項18のいずれかに記載のロータリーエンジン。
- 使用時、仕事室内の流体は、第1の回転部材の1回転中に圧縮され、燃焼し、膨張する請求項1乃至請求項19のいずれかに記載のロータリーエンジン。
