Description
Post: 後O2センサのサンプリング値
劣化度合演算部507は、相関値演算部506によって演算された所定区間毎の相関値Cより、触媒の劣化度合(劣化判定値)Dを決定する。
触媒と前後O2センサの構成を、図7(a)に示されている構成とすることで、排気規制的にNGレベルとなる劣化度合のしきい値は、領域905から領域907に移行することができ、相関値のしきい値を設定することが容易となる。

Efnew=90%、Efng=70%とした場合、L1:L2=22%:78%となり、余裕を見た分割比は、L1:L2=30%:70%となる。
後触媒OK/NG判定部1409は、後触媒OK/NG判定済判別部1601と、比較器1604と、比較器1604の入力を切り替えるスイッチ1602、1603を有する。

Claims (7)
- 第1の触媒と第2の触媒を有し、前記第1の触媒の前および前記第1の触媒と前記第2の触媒の間に特定の排気成分を検出するセンサを備えた内燃機関の触媒劣化診断装置であって、
前記第1の触媒と前記第2の触媒は三元触媒であり、
前記第1の触媒は排気ガスの流れで見て上流側に配置され、前記第1の触媒の容量は前記第2の触媒の容量より小さく設定されており、
前記第1の触媒の劣化または交換にともなって前記第2の触媒の劣化度合いが蓄積するものとして定義した、前記第1の触媒の劣化特性と前記第2の触媒の劣化特性との関係を予め定めておき、
前記第1の触媒の前に設けられた前記センサの出力より前記第1の触媒の劣化度合を演算し、
当該劣化度合より前記第1の触媒の劣化を判定し、
前記第1の触媒の劣化度合および前記関係に基づいて前記第2の触媒の劣化を判定する
ことを特徴とする内燃機関の触媒劣化診断装置。 - 前記第1の触媒の劣化特性と前記第2の触媒の劣化特性の関係を予め定めるに際して、前記第1の触媒と前記第2の触媒の間に存在する空間の体積を、前記第2の触媒の劣化に寄与する要素に付加することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の触媒劣化診断装置。
- 前記特定の排気成分を検出するセンサは、排気ガスに含まれる酸素の有無に対して2値の出力を出力するO2センサであることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の内燃機関の触媒劣化診断装置。
- 前記特定の排気成分を検出するセンサは、排気ガスに含まれる酸素濃度あるいは燃料濃度に対応した信号を出力するセンサであることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載のエンジンの触媒劣化診断装置。
- 第1の触媒と第2の触媒を有し、前記第1の触媒の前および前記第1の触媒と前記第2の触媒の間に特定の排気成分を検出するセンサを備えた内燃機関の触媒劣化診断方法であって、
前記第1の触媒と前記第2の触媒は三元触媒であり、
前記第1の触媒は排気ガスの流れで見て上流側に配置され、前記第1の触媒の容量は前記第2の触媒の容量より小さく設定されており、
前記第1の触媒の劣化または交換にともなって前記第2の触媒の劣化度合いが蓄積するものとして定義した、前記第1の触媒の劣化特性と前記第2の触媒の劣化特性との関係を予め定めておき、
前記第1の触媒の前に設けられた前記センサの出力より前記第1の触媒の劣化度合を演算し、
当該劣化度合より前記第1の触媒の劣化を判定し、
前記第1の触媒の劣化度合および前記関係に基づいて前記第2の触媒の劣化を判定する
ことを特徴とする内燃機関の触媒劣化診断方法。 - 内燃機関の排気通路に設けられる排気ガス浄化用の触媒装置であって、
請求項1から請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の内燃機関の触媒劣化診断装置を備え、
前記第1の触媒の容量を前記第2の触媒の容量より小さくする比率が、前記第1の触媒と前記第2の触媒の、新品時のトータル時の未燃焼ガス転換効率と、触媒がNGと判定される時の未燃焼ガスの転換効率の比率から設定されていることを特徴とする触媒装置。 - 前記第1の触媒と前記第2の触媒が同一の筐体に納められていることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の触媒装置。
