Description
大径筒部は、内周表面に形成されたシール突条と、周方向に互いに間隔を隔てて端面から軸方向外方に延設された複数の張り出し部と、張り出し部から径方向内周側に突出形成され相手部材の外周表面に形成された凹部と係合する位置決め突起と、を有することにある。
図1に本実施例の等速ジョイント用ブーツと相手部材との分解斜視図を、図2に相手部材に嵌合した状態の要部拡大断面図を示す。この等速ジョイント用ブーツは、ブーツ本体1からなり、比較的硬質の熱可塑性エラストマーから射出ブロー成形により形成されている。
実施例1の等速ジョイント用ブーツと、二条のシール突条の中間に位置決め突起を有し、位置決め突起の先端にもシール突条が形成されたこと以外は実施例1と同様に製造された比較例の等速ジョイント用ブーツを用い、ジョイントアウターレース2への挿入荷重を測定した。結果を表1に示す。
図3及び図4に示す本参考例の等速ジョイント用ブーツは、ブーツ本体1’と、ブーツ本体1’の大径筒部11’内に挿入されたリング状のグロメット4とから構成されている。ブーツ本体1’は比較的硬質の熱可塑性エラストマーから射出ブロー成形により形成され、グロメット4はゴム又は比較的軟質の熱可塑性エラストマーから射出成形により形成されている。

Claims (1)
- シャフトに保持される小径筒部と、該小径筒部と離間して同軸的に配置され該小径筒部より大径で内周断面が非円形の大径筒部と、該小径筒部と該大径筒部を一体的に連結する略円錐台形状の蛇腹部とからなり、該大径筒部の外周表面から締結部材を縮径させることで相手部材に該大径筒部が締結される等速ジョイント用ブーツであって、
該大径筒部は厚肉部と薄肉部を備え、内周表面に形成されたシール突条と、周方向に互いに間隔を隔てて該薄肉部の端面から軸方向外方に延設された複数の張り出し部と、該張り出し部から径方向内周側に突出形成され該相手部材の外周表面に形成された凹部と係合する位置決め突起と、を有することを特徴とする等速ジョイント用ブーツ。
