Description

本発明は、固定ネジを備えた外科手術用のインプラント又は器具に関する。
外科手術用のインプラント又は器具は、２つの相互に変位可能な案内部材を、変位しないように固定するために頻繁に必要とされる。通常、この固定は、２つの部材の内の上方の部材に設けられた通路オリフィスを貫通して２つの部材の内の下方の部材のネジ穴の中に、固定ネジをその頭部が２つの部材の内の上方の部材の上面にしっかりと固定されるまでねじ込むことにより行われる。
この方法には、ネジが紛失し易いという問題があり、限られた手術部位においては重大な結果をもたらす場合もある。
本発明は、この問題を解決するものである。それは、２つの部材の内の下方の部材のネジ穴と、上方の部材の通路オリフィスを提案するものでもある。固定する目的のため、本発明は、組みネジ（set screw）として構成され、その全長がネジ穴の中に収まるネジ（あらゆる場合において、２つの部材の内の上方の部材の下面よりも下になる）を採用する。そのネジは、ネジ回し用の溝を有する、上方の細いドッグポイント（dog point）を備えている。通路オリフィスの直径は、ねじ込み部の直径より小さく、ドッグポイントの直径よりも大きい。
部材同士を結合する前に、ネジをネジ穴にねじ込むが、ネジの形が完全に見えなくなるまで、又は２つの部材の内の上方の部材がその上に嵌挿可能な程度まで深くねじ込む。次いで、ネジ回しを上方部材の通路オリフィスを貫通させて係合させ、ネジを回してドッグポイントが通路オリフィスの中に位置するまで上昇させる。この状態で、２つの部材は、互いに変位しないように固定されている。ねじ込み部の直径が通路オリフィスの直径よりも大きいので、ネジは上方に抜けることはない。ネジ穴は、便宜上盲穴として形成しても良く、あるいはネジが下側に抜けるのを防止するため、ネジと下方の部材に下降防止部を設けることもできる。
ネジは、通常、締め付けられた状態で固定位置に保持されている。すなわち、ねじ込み部の端部は、固定される２つの部材の内の上方の部材側に締め付けられている。ネジ穴に後退しようとする固定ネジを固定するのにより効果的な方法は、弾性力、例えばバネを用いて下側から付勢することである。
本文及びクレームで用いる「上方へ」及び「下方へ」という用語は、測地学的な高さの意味に解釈されるべきではなく、固定ネジを探して近づく観察者に対する位置を意味している。下側の部分とは、一般的に、上側の部分により覆われる部分である。
本発明を、図面を参照して詳細に説明するが、その図面には好適な実施例の断面図が描かれている。
ボルト１は、わずかに大きな直径を有しボルトの上に突き出ているスリーブ２に結合している。それらの対向面は、それらの長軸のみが平行なその２つの部材間の相対移動を許容する案内部を提供している。
ボルト１は、その長軸を横切って延在するネジ穴３を有している。固定ネジ４は、ねじ込み部５と上方のドッグポイント６を備え上記のネジ穴３の中に位置しており、上方のドッグポイント６は、ネジ回しとの係合のためにスリット又は六角形のソケット７を備えている。ドッグポイント６の直径は、ねじ込み部５の直径よりも小さい。圧縮バネ８は、ネジ穴３の底部とネジ４の底部の間に配置されている。ネジ穴３の長さは、圧縮バネ８を収容するのに必要な長さを除いて、ネジ４の長さよりも大きい。部材２の通路オリフィス９の直径は、ねじ込み部の直径より小さく、ネジ４のドッグポイント６の直径よりも大きい。
組立前には、ネジ４は、ネジ穴３の中に完全に沈み込んだ状態にある。少なくとも、部材１と２の対向面の間の遊びに対応する距離以上にネジ穴３から突出すべきではない。次いで、部材１と２を互いに押し込み一体化して、通路オリフィス９がネジ４の上に位置するようにする。次いでネジ回しを用いてネジ４を緩め、ドッグポイント６が通路オリフィス９の内側に位置するようにする。必要により、ねじ込み部５の肩が通路オリフィス９の縁に十分密着した状態になるまで、ネジ４を回すこともできる。
バネ８が存在する場合には、後者は必須ではない。これは、バネはネジ４を上方に押圧するので、どのような力が加わってもネジがネジ穴３の中に沈み込むことがないからである。
バネ８はコイルバネの例を示したが、他のバネ手段、例えば合成弾性材料から成る発泡プラグ（foam plug）を用いることもできることは理解されるであろう。

Claims (3)

  1. ２つの部材（１，２）を備え、一方の部材は他方の部材に嵌挿され、下方の部材（１）はネジ穴（３）を備え、上方の部材（２）は固定ネジ（４）を収容する通路オリフィス（９）を備え、
    固定ネジ（４）はその全長が上方の部材（２）よりも下方に位置するようにネジ穴（３）に収容可能であり、その上端には、ねじ込み部（５）よりは細くかつネジ回し用の溝（７）を備えたドッグポイント（６）を有し、
    通路オリフィス（９）の直径がねじ込み部（５）の直径よりは小さく、かつドッグポイント（６）の直径より大きい、外科手術用のインプラント又は器具において、
    上記固定ネジ（４）を固定位置に押し込む弾性装置（８）を有することを特徴とするインプラント又は器具。
  2. 上記ネジ穴（３）が盲穴であることを特徴とする請求項１記載のインプラント又は器具。
  3. 上記固定ネジ（４）とネジ穴（３）が、固定ネジ（４）がネジ穴（３）から下方に抜けないように固定する相互作用型の下降防止部を有することを特徴とする請求項１又は２に記載のインプラント又は器具。
