Description

本発明はデジタル放送受信装置に関し、特に、予約選局を確実に実行させる予約実行技術に関する。
デジタル放送受信装置においては、放送局から送信されてくるビデオデータ、オーディオデータに基づいて、各種の番組の映像信号、音声信号を、デジタル放送受信装置に接続されるディスプレイやテレビジョン受像機等に表示させることができる。また、デジタル放送受信装置は、ビデオデータ、オーディオデータとともに多重されて送信されてくる、番組のチャンネルや番組開始時刻、番組継続時間などの内容が記述されたＥＩＴ（Event Information Table）等のデータ（番組配列情報）に基づいて、いわゆる電子的な番組表であるＥＰＧ（Electronic Program Guide: 電子番組表）を、デジタル放送受信装置に接続されるディスプレイやテレビジョン受像機等に表示させることもできる（下記特許文献１参照）。
野球の延長などに追従できるようＥＩＴを監視するために、番組開始Ｘ秒前に予約チャンネルを選局する予約選局を開始していた。このＸ秒前は、ＥＩＴの送信間隔を考慮し、必ずＥＩＴを取得できる時間に設定されている。例えば、野球の延長などに追従できるようＥＩＴを監視するために、番組開始Ｘ秒前に予約チャンネルを選局する予約選局を開始していた。このＸ秒前は、ＥＩＴの送信間隔を考慮し、必ず取得できる時間に設定されている。
図１１は、一般的な予約実行処理におけるタイミング設定例を示す図である。図１１に示すように、一般的な予約実行処理においては、実際の視聴開始目標時間に対して、実際に選局を開始する時間をＸ秒前としていた。すなわち、Ｘ秒前に選局を開始し、この時点からＥＩＴの受信を試みるＥＩＴ受信処理を行う。Ｘ秒前よりも後のＪ秒前に取得したＥＩＴを評価し、番組延長などにより番組開始時間が変更されていなければ画面表示を行い、一方、番組開始時間が遅延していることが判明した場合には、変更時間のＸ秒前まで待つようにしていた。

現在では、ＴＶの機能面での多様化が進み、例えば、インターネットを閲覧するためのアプリケーション等がＴＶに搭載されつつある。このようなアプリケーションは、グラフィックスプレーンなどの資源をＴＶで使用しているものと排他的に使用する必要がある。
また、現在のデジタル放送には、データ放送などのコンテンツが流れており、選局時に自動的にテレビ機能を満たすアプリケーションであるＢＭＬブラウザを起動して表示しなければならないコンテンツも多い。従って、予約選局前には、テレビ機能を満たす以外のアプリケーションである他のアプリケーションで使用していた共有資源を解放する必要があり終了時間を必要とする。この時間を考慮しない場合、選局が完了してからＥＩＴの取得を開始するまでの時間が遅れ、番組開始時間の確認に失敗するという問題がある。
本発明は、番組開始時間の認識精度を向上させることを目的とする。また、メモリの有効活用を図ることを目的とする。
本発明では、予約実行で使用する資源を他のアプリケーションと排他的に利用する場合に、予約選局が遅れないよう他のアプリケーションが共有資源を解放する時間を考慮し、予約選局時間を設定する。例えば、
(１)アプリケーションの終了時間Ｙを考慮し、Ｘ＋Ｙ秒前に選局を開始する。
(２)Ｘ＋Ｙ秒前にアプリケーションが起動しているかどうかを確認し、共有資源がアプリケーションに使用されている場合にはＸ＋Ｙ秒前、使用されていなければＸ秒前に予約選局。これは、予約選局を早くすると、連続予約の場合に前の番組の最後が切れる部分が多くなることを防止する。
すなわち、本発明の一観点によれば、第１のアプリケーションと第２のアプリケーションを含む複数のアプリケーションが動作可能なデジタル放送受信装置において、予約実行において使用する資源を前記第１のアプリケーションと前記第２のアプリケーションとが排他的に利用可能な場合に、前記第２のアプリケーションの終了処理に要する時間を考慮して予約選局時間を設定することを特徴とするデジタル放送受信装置が提供される。これにより、共有資源を解放することによる予約選局の遅れを防止する。
さらに、予約に基づく処理の実行開始時間より前にＥＩＴに基づく番組の遅延の有無を評価し実行開始時間を決定することが好ましい。前記ＥＩＴに基づく評価の結果、番組開始時間が変更されていなければ表示を開始し、番組開始時間が遅延している場合には、前記起動中のアプリケーションの終了処理時間を考慮して予約選局時間を設定する変更時間を再設定するが好ましい。
本発明の他の観点によれば、予約に基づく処理の実行開始時間より前にＥＩＴに基づく番組の遅延の有無を評価し実行開始時間を決定する機能を有し、ＴＶ機能を満たすための第１のアプリケーションとＴＶ機能を満たすためのアプリケーション以外の第２のアプリケーションとが動作可能なデジタル放送受信装置において、アプリケーションの動作を監視するアプリケーション状態監視メモリ部と、前記第１のアプリケーションと前記第２のアプリケーションとのいずれの処理結果を出力するかを前記アプリケーション状態監視メモリ部による監視結果として得られる動作中のアプリケーションに資源を割り当てるように択一的に切り替えるスイッチ部と、を有することを特徴とするデジタル放送受信装置が提供される。前記第１のアプリケーションと前記第２のアプリケーションとは、ＢＭＬブラウザと、ＨＴＭＬブラウザと、であっても良い。
ＴＶ機能を満たすための第１のアプリケーション以外の第２のアプリケーションの終了時間Ｙを考慮し、ＥＩＴによる監視に必要な時間Ｘに対してＹを加算した時間Ｘ＋Ｙだけ予約処理開始より前に選局を開始する制御を行うことができる。
また、時間Ｘ＋Ｙ前においてＴＶ機能を満たすためのアプリケーション以外の第２のアプリケーションが起動しているか否かを確認し、共有資源がＴＶ機能を満たすためのアプリケーション以外の第２のアプリケーションにより使用されている場合には選局を開始し、使用されていなければ時間Ｘ前に選局を開始する制御を行うこともできる。予約選局を早くしすぎると、連続予約の場合に前の番組の最後が切れるケースが多くなるためである。
本発明の他の観点によれば、第１のアプリケーションと第２のアプリケーションとが動作可能なデジタル放送受信装置を利用した予約実行方法であって、起動している方のアプリケーションの終了時間Ｙを考慮し、ＥＩＴによる監視に必要な時間Ｘに対してＹを加算した時間Ｘ＋Ｙだけ予約処理開始より前に選局を開始するステップと、ＥＩＴ評価に必要な時間Ｊ前においてＥＩＴによる評価に基づいて、番組開始時間が変更されていなければ予約対象番組を表示し、番組開始時間が遅延していれば変更時間の時間Ｘ＋Ｙまで待つステップと、を有することを特徴とする予約実行方法が提供される。
また、ＴＶ機能を満たすための第１のアプリケーションとＴＶ機能を満たすためのアプリケーション以外の第２のアプリケーションとが動作可能なデジタル放送受信装置を利用した予約実行方法であって、前記第２のアプリケーションが起動している場合に、該第２のアプリケーションの終了時間Ｙを考慮し、ＥＩＴによる監視に必要な時間Ｘに対してＹを加算した時間Ｘ＋Ｙだけ予約処理開始より前にアプリケーションの起動を検出し、前記第２のアプリケーションが起動していなければＸ秒前に選局を開始し、ＥＩＴ評価に必要な時間Ｊ前におけるＥＩＴ評価に基づいて、番組開始時間が変更されていなければ予約対象番組を表示し、番組開始時間が遅延していれば変更時間の時間Ｘ＋Ｙまで待つステップと、を有することを特徴とする予約実行方法が提供される。
尚、本発明は、コンピュータに上記ステップを実行させるためのプログラムであっても良い。
本発明のデジタル放送受信装置を用いると、以下のような効果がある。
１）番組開始時間の確認を確実に行うことができる。
２）メモリの有効活用が可能である。
３）連続予約時に前予約番組の最後が切れるところを減らすことができる。
以下、本発明の第１の実施の形態によるデジタル放送受信装置について図面を参照しながら説明を行う。図１は、本実施の形態によるデジタル放送受信装置の一構成例を示す機能ブロック図である。図２は、本発明による予約実行処理と一般的な予約実行処理との違いを明確にするための模式的な図であり、図１１に対応する図である。
図１に示すように、本実施の形態によるデジタル放送受信装置Ａは、チューナ１と、復調部３と、ＴＳレコーダ５と、復号部７と、合成部１１と、ディスプレイ１５と、を有している。さらに全体を制御する制御部１７と、各種処理を行うためのプログラムを格納するＲＯＭ２０ａと、プログラムを読み出して展開し高速処理を行うＲＡＭ２０ｂと、リモコン装置からの信号を受けるリモコン受信部２３と、ＢＭＬブラウザ２５と、ＨＴＭＬブラウザ２７と、ＢＭＬブラウザ２５と、ＨＴＭＬブラウザ２７と、の文字、図形などを描画する領域であるグラフィックスプレーン３３と、ＢＭＬブラウザ２５と、ＨＴＭＬブラウザ２７と、のいずれをグラフィックスプレーン３３に接続するかを択一的に切り替えるスイッチ部３１と、アプリケーションの状態を監視するアプリケーション状態監視メモリ部３５と、を有している。アプリケーション状態監視メモリ部３５は、ここでは、ＢＭＬブラウザ２５と、ＨＴＭＬブラウザ２７と、のいずれが起動中であるかを監視している。
図１１を参照して説明した一般的な予約実行処理と異なり、本実施の形態においては、図２に示すように、従来、ＴＶ機能を満たすＢＭＬブラウザで占有していたグラフィックスプレーンなどの資源を、ＴＶ機能を満たす以外のアプリケーションで使用する場合があるため、ＴＶ機能を満たす以外のアプリケーションで資源の解放に必要となる終了時間Ｙを考慮し、予約開始時間よりもＸ＋Ｙ秒前に選局を開始する。そして、Ｊ秒前にＥＩＴを評価する。ここで、ＥＩＴを評価した結果、番組開始時間が変更されていなければ表示を行い。番組開始時間が遅延していることがわかった場合には、変更時間のＸ＋Ｙ秒前になるまで待つ。
図３は、本実施の形態による予約処理の全体の流れを示すフローチャート図である。ここでタイマー部２１（図１）へは、ユーザが番組を予約した段階で、Ｘ＋Ｙ秒前に時間がセットされている。図３に示すように、ステップＳ１においてタイマー部から設定されていた時間になった旨の通知を制御部が受け取り、ステップＳ２において、予約開始時間のＸ＋Ｙ秒前であるか否かを判定する。Ｘ＋Ｙ秒前であれば（Ｙｅｓ）ステップＳ３に進みＸ＋Ｙ秒前処理を、Ｊ秒前であれば（Ｎｏ）ステップＳ４に進みＪ秒前処理を行う。ステップＳ５に進み予約処理を終了する。
図４は、図３におけるＸ＋Ｙ秒前処理の内容を示すフローチャート図である。ステップＳ２１において処理を開始し、ステップＳ２２においてＸ＋Ｙ秒前に選局処理を行う。ステップＳ２３において、Ｊ秒前タイマーを設定し、ステップＳ２４においてＪ秒前になった場合にＪ秒前に状態遷移を行い、Ｘ＋Ｙ秒前処理を終了する（ステップＳ２５）。
図５は、図３におけるＪ秒前処理の内容を示すフローチャート図である。まず、ステップＳ３１において処理を開始し、ステップＳ３２において選局によりＥＩＴを取得できたか否かを判定し、取得できた場合には（Ｙｅｓ）、ステップＳ３３において番組開始時間に変更があるか否か（番組開始時刻に遅延がないかどうか）を判定し、番組開始時間に変更がある場合には（Ｎｏ）ステップＳ３５に進み、変更がない場合には（Ｙｅｓ）ステップＳ３４に進む。また、ステップＳ３２においてＥＩＴを取得できなかった場合も（Ｎｏ）ステップＳ３４に進む。
ステップＳ３４においては、ディスプレイに表示を行い、番組を視聴できるようにし、Ｊ秒前処理を終了する（ステップＳ３７）。ステップＳ３５においては、Ｘ＋Ｙ秒前に変更タイマー設定を行い、ステップＳ３６に進み、Ｘ＋Ｙ秒前に状態遷移させ、図３のステップＳ１の通知を待つ。
以上に説明したように、本実施の形態による予約実行処理によれば、ＴＶ機能を満たす以外のアプリケーションの終了時間Ｙを考慮して、ＥＩＴの送信間隔を考慮し必ず取得できるＸ秒前よりもさらにＹ秒前、すなわち、Ｘ＋Ｙ秒前に選局を開始することで、番組開始時間を確実に確認できるという利点がある。但し、Ｙ秒前よりも以前にしてしまうと、すなわち、予約選局をあまり早めに行ってしまうと、例えば時間的に連続した番組予約、すなわち連続予約が行われている場合に、前の番組の最後の方が途切れる可能性があるため、Ｘ＋Ｙ秒前ジャストに選局を開始するのが好ましい。
次に、本発明の第２の実施の形態による予約実行処理について図面を参照しながら説明を行う。図６は、本実施の形態による予約実行処理の概略について示す図であり、図２、図１１に対応する図である。本実施の形態では、表示開始時間よりもＸ＋Ｙ秒前にＴＶ機能を満たす以外のアプリケーションが起動しているか否かを確認し、共有資源がＴＶ機能を満たす以外のアプリケーションに使用されている場合にはＸ＋Ｙ秒前に選局を開始し（選局開始１）、共有資源がＴＶ機能を満たす以外のアプリケーションに使用されていない場合にはＸ秒前に予約選局を行う（選局開始２）。そして、Ｊ秒前にＥＩＴを評価する。
図７は、本実施の形態による予約処理の全体の流れを示すフローチャート図である。ここでタイマー部２１（図１）へは、ユーザが番組を予約した段階で、Ｘ＋Ｙ秒前に時間がセットされている。図７に示すように、ステップＳ４１においてタイマー部から設定されていた時間になった旨の通知を制御部が受け取り、ステップＳ４２において、予約開始時間のＸ＋Ｙ秒前であるか否かを判定する。Ｘ＋Ｙ秒前であれば（Ｙｅｓ）ステップＳ４３に進みＸ＋Ｙ秒前処理を行い、Ｘ＋Ｙ秒前でなければ（Ｎｏ）、ステップＳ４４に進みＸ秒前状態であるか否かを判断する。ステップＳ４４においてＸ秒前状態であれば（Ｙｅｓ）ステップＳ４５に進みＸ秒前処理を行う。ステップＳ４４においてＸ秒前状態でなければ（Ｎｏ）ステップＳ４６に進みＪ秒前処理を行う。ステップＳ４７に進み予約処理を終了する。
図８は、ステップＳ４３のＸ＋Ｙ秒前処理の詳細を示す図である。まず、ステップＳ５１において処理を開始し、ステップＳ５２においてＴＶ機能を満たす以外のアプリケーションが起動中か否かを判断する。ＴＶ機能を満たす以外のアプリケーションが起動中であれば（Ｙｅｓ）ステップＳ５３に進み、ＴＶ機能を満たす以外のアプリケーションが起動中でなければ（Ｎｏ）ステップＳ５６に進む。ステップＳ５３に進んだ場合には選局処理（図６の選局開始１）を行い、ステップＳ５４においてＪ秒前タイマーを設定し、ステップＳ５５においてＪ秒前処理に状態遷移し、Ｘ＋Ｙ秒前処理を終了する（ステップＳ５８）。ステップＳ５６に進んだ場合には、Ｘ秒前タイマー設定し、ステップＳ５７においてＸ秒前処理へ状態遷移し、Ｘ＋Ｙ秒前処理を終了する（ステップＳ５８）。
図９は、上記ステップ５７のＸ秒前処理の詳細を示すフローチャート図である。まず、ステップＳ６１においてＸ秒前処理を開始すると、ステップＳ６２において選局処理を行い（図６の選局開始２）、ステップＳ６３においてＪ秒前タイマーを設定し、ステップＳ６４においてＪ秒前処理に状態遷移し、Ｘ秒前処理を終了する（ステップＳ６５）。図１０は、Ｊ秒前処理の詳細を示す図であり、図５に示す処理と同様に、ＥＩＴ取得の可否（ステップＳ１１２）、開始時間の変更の有無（ステップＳ１１３）、に基づいてディスプレイ表示（ステップＳ１１４）又はＸ＋Ｙ秒前処理に状態遷移（ステップＳ１１６）を行う。
以上に説明したように、本実施の形態による予約実行処理によれば、Ｘ＋Ｙ秒前にＴＶ機能を満たす以外のアプリケーションが起動しているかどうかを確認し、共有資源がアプリケーションに使用されている場合にはＸ＋Ｙ秒前、使用されていなければＸ秒前に予約選局する。予約選局を早くすると連続予約の場合に前の番組の最後が切れるところが多くなるが、このようにＸ＋Ｙ秒前にＴＶ機能を満たす以外のアプリケーションが起動しているかどうかを確認することにより、連続予約の場合にもきめ細かく対応することができるという利点がある。また、番組開始時間の認識精度を向上させることができる。連続予約の場合には、前の番組の最後の切れを低減することができる。
以上、本発明の各実施の形態について、ＢＭＬブラウザを、ＴＶ機能を満たすアプリケーションとして利用し、ＨＴＭＬブラウザをＴＶ機能を満たす以外のアプリケーションとして利用する場合について詳細に説明してきたが、ＴＶ機能を満たす以外のアプリケーションとしてはＨＴＭＬブラウザ以外のアプリケーションであっても、対象となることは言うまでもない。
また、対象となるデジタル放送受信装置としては、テレビ受像機、記録再生装置、パーソナルコンピュータ、携帯電話機なども含まれる。特に、携帯電話機などの携帯端末では、小型化の影響でメモリ容量の比較的少な目であるため、特に効果を発揮する。
本発明は、デジタル放送受信装置に利用可能である。

Claims (2)

  1. 予約されている番組の開始時間より前にＥＩＴに基づく番組放送時刻の遅延の有無を評価し、番組開始時間に追従して動作する予約機能を有し、さらにＴＶ機能を満たすための第１のアプリケーションとＴＶ機能を満たすためのアプリケーション以外の第２のアプリケーションとが、一部、または全部のハードウェア資源を共有するため、前記それぞれのアプリケーションを排他的に利用可能なデジタル放送受信装置において、
    該第２のアプリケーションが共有資源の解放に必要となる終了に要する時間Ｙを、ＥＩＴの受信に必要な時間Ｘに対して加算した時間Ｘ＋Ｙだけ予約した番組の開始時間より前に、予約チャンネルへの選局を開始して、予約した番組の開始時間までにＥＩＴの受信に必要な時間Ｘの期間だけＥＩＴを受信することで、ＥＩＴに基づく番組放送時刻の遅延の有無の評価に必要なＥＩＴの取得を行うことを特徴とするデジタル放送受信装置。
  2. 予約されている番組の開始時間より前にＥＩＴに基づく番組放送時刻の遅延の有無を評価し、番組予約開始時間に追従して動作する予約機能を有し、さらにＴＶ機能を満たすための第１のアプリケーションとＴＶ機能を満たすためのアプリケーション以外の第２のアプリケーションとが、一部、または全部のハードウェア資源を共有するため、前記それぞれのアプリケーションを排他的に利用可能なデジタル放送受信装置において、
    起動している方のアプリケーションが第２のアプリケーションであった場合に、該第２
    のアプリケーションが共有資源の解放に必要となる終了に要する時間Ｙを、ＥＩＴの受信に必要な時間Ｘに対して加算した時間Ｘ＋Ｙだけ予約した番組の開始時間より前に、予約チャンネルへの選局を開始して、予約した番組の開始時間までにＥＩＴの受信に必要な時間Ｘの期間ＥＩＴを受信することで、ＥＩＴに基づく番組放送時刻の遅延の有無の評価に必要なＥＩＴの取得を行うことを特徴とするデジタル放送受信装置。
