Claims (4)
- 電解質をアノード側電極とカソード側電極とで挟んで構成される電解質・電極接合体を有し、前記電解質・電極接合体とセパレータとを交互に積層するとともに、前記セパレータの両端中央部に積層方向に貫通して反応ガス連通孔及び冷却媒体連通孔が形成される燃料電池であって、
前記セパレータは、少なくとも互いに積層される第1及び第2金属プレートを備え、
前記第1金属プレートは、前記カソード側電極の発電面に沿って酸化剤ガスを供給し且つ屈曲する流路を含む酸化剤ガス流路を設ける一方、前記第2金属プレートは、前記アノード側電極の発電面に沿って燃料ガスを供給し且つ屈曲する流路を含む燃料ガス流路を設けるとともに、
前記第1及び第2金属プレート間には、前記セパレータの面方向に沿って冷却媒体を供給する冷却媒体流路と、
前記冷却媒体連通孔から少なくとも逆方向である2方向に分岐して前記冷却媒体流路に連通する2以上のバッファ部と、
が設けられ、少なくとも1の前記バッファ部は、前記冷却媒体連通孔から離間する奥側に前記冷却媒体の流れを規制して冷却面内に均一に前記冷却媒体を流通させるための凸部を設けることを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項1記載の燃料電池において、前記反応ガス連通孔は、燃料ガス入口連通孔、酸化剤ガス入口連通孔、燃料ガス出口連通孔及び酸化剤ガス出口連通孔を有するとともに、
前記冷却媒体連通孔は、冷却媒体入口連通孔及び冷却媒体出口連通孔を有し、
前記バッファ部は、前記冷却媒体入口連通孔から少なくとも2方向に分岐して前記冷却媒体流路に連通する2以上の入口バッファ部と、
前記冷却媒体出口連通孔から少なくとも2方向に分岐して前記冷却媒体流路に連通する2以上の出口バッファ部と、
を有することを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項2記載の燃料電池において、前記第1金属プレートには、前記冷却媒体入口連通孔及び前記冷却媒体出口連通孔に連通する第1入口バッファ部及び第1出口バッファ部が設けられるとともに、
前記第2金属プレートには、前記冷却媒体入口連通孔及び前記冷却媒体出口連通孔に連通し且つ前記第1入口バッファ部及び前記第1出口バッファ部とは異なる位置に第2入口バッファ部及び第2出口バッファ部が設けられることを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項2又は3記載の燃料電池において、前記燃料ガス入口連通孔、前記酸化剤ガス入口連通孔、前記冷却媒体入口連通孔、前記燃料ガス出口連通孔、前記酸化剤ガス出口連通孔及び前記冷却媒体出口連通孔は、前記セパレータの両端に3つずつ振り分けられるとともに、
前記冷却媒体入口連通孔及び前記冷却媒体出口連通孔は、前記セパレータの両端中央部に配設されることを特徴とする燃料電池。
