Description
また、セラミック焼結体は、触媒の分散性・密着性を良好にするために比表面積が高められている。このため破壊が起こりやすく、使用中に破壊・粉化するという問題がしばしばみられた。

前記混合粉末を反応容器に充填して焼結し、酸化物固溶体を得る工程、および
前記酸化物固溶体を還元雰囲気下で熱処理することにより前記還元性金属酸化物を還元して、前記酸化物固溶体の表面および内部に金属粒子を析出させる工程
を具備することを特徴とする。
以下、実施例および比較例を示して本発明をさらに詳細に説明する。
難還元性金属酸化物としてのMgO粉末(平均粒径50nm)を、水蒸気および炭酸ガスが含まれる雰囲気中、50℃で熱処理をした。熱処理後の粉末をX線回折法により分析したところ、11wt%の炭酸水酸化MgOが観察された。また、このMgO粉末には、Alが0.04mol%、Feが0.02mol%含有されていた。
平均粒径1μmの酸化銅(CuO)粉末をさらに原料粉末として用いて、混合組成がMgO:NiO:CuO=2:1:0.1(mol比)の混合粉末を調製した以外は、前述の実施例1と同様の条件で焼結体を製造した。
難還元性金属酸化物としてのMgO粉末(平均粒径100nm)を、一方、還元性金属酸化物としては、NiO粉末(平均粒径1μm)を用意し、モル比でMgO:NiO=1:2となるように秤量した。原料粉末は、アルミナ製ボールを使った遊星ボールミルにより乾式で12時間均一に混合して、混合粉末を得た以外は、前述の実施例1と同様の条件で焼結体を製造した。
実施例1と同一形状のマグネシア製ハニカムを作製し、硝酸ニッケル溶液中に浸漬後、引き上げて炭酸アンモニウム中に浸漬した。これを引き上げて、110℃の乾燥機内で乾燥した後、水素中、400℃に加熱して還元処理を施すことにより、複合材料を作製した。この複合材料においては、マグネシアからなる骨格上にNi粒子が分散されている。
硝酸ニッケル溶液を、硝酸ニッケルと硝酸銅とを含有する溶液に変更した以外は、前述の比較例1と同様の手法により、複合材料を製造した。この複合材料においては、マグネシアからなる骨格上にNi−Cu粒子が分散されている。
Claims (3)
- 炭酸水酸化化合物相を含有する難還元性金属酸化物粉末と、還元性金属酸化物粉末とを混合して混合粉末を得る工程、
前記混合粉末を反応容器に充填して焼結し、酸化物固溶体を得る工程、および
前記酸化物固溶体を還元雰囲気下で熱処理することにより前記還元性金属酸化物を還元して、前記酸化物固溶体の表面および内部に金属粒子を析出させる工程
を具備することを特徴とする金属粒子分散酸化物の製造方法。 - 前記難還元性金属酸化物粉末は、前記炭酸水酸化化合物を5重量%以上の割合で含有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の金属粒子分散酸化物の製造方法。
- 前記難還元性金属酸化物粉末は、0.001〜0.1mol%のAlを含有するMgO粉末であることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の金属粒子分散酸化物の製造方法。
