The present invention relates to an effective light emitter using transmitted light using a surface light emitting device.
【0002】[0002]
Conventionally, light-emitting displays include lighting, neon signs, and LEDs, and illumination-type signs are often seen. However, as shown in the present invention, no light-emitting body having a surface light-emitting element embedded therein is found.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, various signs have been used for advertising a store or the like. Among them, the illuminated signboard exerts its power especially at night, and the above-mentioned neon sign and lighting system are frequently used. In addition, a method of projecting lighting toward a signboard to illuminate the signboard surface brightly is often used. However, since this projection method uses a plurality of light bulbs, it consumes a large amount of power, and has a problem that replacement and replacement of the bulb after the life of the bulb require a lot of trouble and cost. In the lighting system, a box made of a translucent material is made, fluorescent lights are installed inside the box, and the light is used to sharpen the characters on the surface of the box. There is a problem when replacing. Neon signs, on the other hand, do not consume as much power as light bulbs, but they are often used with the neon tube exposed, and can be damaged. A method of displaying characters and graphics by using a plurality of LEDs and selectively lighting the LEDs has also become widespread, but there is a problem that the number of LEDs used increases. The present invention has been devised to solve the above-mentioned problems related to the conventional display method.By embedding the surface emitting element in a light-transmitting material, it is effective with low power, and It is intended to provide a luminous body excellent in weather resistance.

As a means for solving the problem, in the present invention, a transparent body is filled in an opaque case, and a surface light emitting element is embedded in the transparent body to constitute a main part thereof. That is, a case is formed of an opaque material of an arbitrary shape having an upper part opened, a transparent body is filled in the case, a surface light emitting element is embedded in the transparent body, and a colored light transmitting layer is provided on the upper surface of the transparent body. . The present invention is a transmitted light emitter using the surface light emitting device having the above configuration.

In the production of the present invention, first, a case is created in which the desired characters and figures are formed, and the surface emitting element is placed in the case. Next, a liquid transparent synthetic resin agent mixed with a curing agent in advance is poured into the case, the liquid surface is positioned slightly below the upper edge of the case, and left for a predetermined time to solidify. Then, a liquid colored synthetic resin is injected onto the solidified surface so as to coincide with the upper edge of the case, and is left to solidify for a time. Thereafter, the upper surface of the colored solidified layer is polished to complete. The surface light emitting device is arranged at a position in contact with the bottom surface of the case, and a plurality of holes are drilled in advance at appropriate places in the case. Leads of the surface light emitting device are drawn out from these holes and connected. In order to use the present invention, first, the case of the present invention is mounted in an appropriate position, and the surface light emitting element is energized. The surface light emitting device is located in a transparent body, and the transparent body is located in an opaque case. Therefore, the light emitted from the surface light emitting element passes through the transparent body and reaches the colored translucent layer to illuminate the entire transparent layer brightly, and the colored translucent layer is easily recognized from the outside. Since the case is opaque, a part of the light emitted from the surface light emitting element is reflected on the inner surface of the case, or the reflection is repeated to reach the colored translucent layer, so that the light can be efficiently illuminated. Further, since the surface light emitting element as the light emitting body is embedded in the transparent body, sufficient weather resistance can be obtained.

また本例では面発光素子としてEL( エレクトロルミネッセンス)を用いた。 Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described. In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes a case, which is made of stainless steel and has a rectangular shape, and the upper part thereof is open. Reference numeral 2 denotes a transparent body, which is a transparent synthetic resin filled to a position slightly lower than the upper edge of the case, and a surface light emitting element 3 having a shape and a size similar to the bottom of the case is buried close to the bottom of the case. Reference numeral 4 denotes a lead wire of the surface light emitting element, which is drawn out of a hole formed at an appropriate position on the bottom of the case and connected to a power source. Reference numeral 5 denotes a colored light-transmitting layer, which is formed by filling a colored light-transmitting synthetic resin, and whose upper surface almost coincides with the upper edge of the case. Although the outline of the present invention has been described above, in this example, a stainless steel material is used for the case, and sufficient durability can be obtained. In this example, EL (electroluminescence) was used as the surface emitting element. In recent years, this EL has been improved in its performance to have high brightness, and can be easily processed by a cutting machine. And since it is a thin material, it has many advantages, such as being able to make the entire case thin. Because of this easy processing, it can be manufactured at low cost, and has a remarkable effect compared to the conventional display system. In this example, a rectangular case is shown as an example. However, a flexible case can be obtained by manufacturing the case in another arbitrary shape. As described above, according to the present invention, an effective luminous body can be obtained.

According to the present invention, the light is emitted from the surface light emitting element located in the transparent body to illuminate the colored translucent layer, and since the transparent body is located in the opaque case, it is possible to save power and efficiently. The colored layer can be illuminated, and an effective display method can be obtained. In addition, since the surface light emitting element is buried, a useful luminous body having high weather resistance can be provided.
