Abstract
【解決手段】可変バルブタイミング装置に対する油圧を制御するオイルコントロールバルブユニット(61)が設置されるシリンダヘッド(43)をクランクケース(42)に組み付けるエンジンの組み付け構造であって、シリンダヘッドの外壁には、オイルコントロールバルブユニットが部分的に差し込まれる開口(83)が形成され、シリンダヘッド及びクランクケースの合わせ面が、開口を挟んで離間した一対のボルト(87)によって締結されることを特徴とする。

Description
上記実施形態に記載のエンジンの組み付け構造は、エンジンの可変バルブタイミング装置に対する油圧を制御するオイルコントロールバルブユニットが設置されるシリンダヘッドをクランクケースに組み付けるエンジンの組み付け構造であって、シリンダヘッドの外壁には、オイルコントロールバルブユニットが部分的に差し込まれる開口が形成され、シリンダヘッド及びクランクケースの合わせ面が、開口を挟んで離間した少なくとも一対のボルトによって締結されることを特徴とする。この構成によれば、シリンダヘッドの開口を避けるようにして、一対のボルトでシリンダヘッドとクランクケースが締結される。一対のボルトによってオイルコントロールバルブユニットの装着を阻害することなく、シリンダヘッドとクランクケースの締結剛性を確保することができる。シリンダヘッドの外壁に開口が形成されていても、シリンダヘッドの剛性が大幅に低下することがなく、シリンダヘッドとクランクケースの締結剛性も高いため振動騒音を低減することができる。

Claims (8)
- エンジンの可変バルブタイミング装置に対する油圧を制御するオイルコントロールバルブユニットが設置されるシリンダヘッドをクランクケースに組み付けるエンジンの組み付け構造であって、
前記シリンダヘッドの外壁には、前記オイルコントロールバルブユニットが部分的に差し込まれる開口が形成され、
前記シリンダヘッド及び前記クランクケースの合わせ面が、前記開口を挟んで離間した少なくとも一対のボルトによって締結されることを特徴とするエンジンの組み付け構造。 - 前記シリンダヘッド及び前記クランクケースには前記可変バルブタイミング装置に動力を伝達するカムチェーンのチェーン室が形成され、
前記シリンダヘッドの外壁には、前記オイルコントロールバルブユニットが前記カムチェーンの内側を通るように前記開口が形成されたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のエンジンの組み付け構造。 - 前記エンジンの幅方向で前記チェーン室の外方が前記シリンダヘッドの外壁及び前記クランクケースの外壁によって区画され、
前記シリンダヘッドの外壁及び前記クランクケースの外壁の合わせ面が、前記一対のボルトによって締結されたことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のエンジンの組み付け構造。 - 前記エンジンの幅方向で前記チェーン室の内方が前記シリンダヘッドの内壁及び前記クランクケースの内壁によって区画され、
前記シリンダヘッドの内壁にカムハウジングが設置されたことを特徴とする請求項2又は請求項3に記載のエンジンの組み付け構造。 - 前記一対のボルトは、軸方向をシリンダ軸方向に向けて、前記シリンダヘッド及び前記クランクケースの合わせ面を締結したことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項4のいずれかに記載のエンジンの組み付け構造。
- 前記シリンダヘッドには、前記エンジンの前面を車体フレームで懸架する懸架ブラケットが設けられたことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項5のいずれかに記載のエンジンの組み付け構造。
- 前記オイルコントロールバルブユニットは、オイルの流れを制御するコントロールバルブと、前記コントロールバルブを支持するバルブハウジングとを有しており、
前記バルブハウジングの外周面には、前記開口の内周面の間を埋めるシール材が装着されたことを特徴とする請求項1から請求項6のいずれかに記載のエンジンの組み付け構造。 - 請求項1から請求項7のいずれかに記載のエンジンの組み付け構造を備えたことを特徴とする車両。
